Marvel TF Crossovers Hulk Pictorial Review

Getting back to doing pictorials along with vids, last up for the Marvel TFs is arguably the best (Tied with Venom), The Incredible Hulk!

Hulk is just a flat out great figure. His mech enhances his already considerable strength, and to reflect that, his alt mode is a pretty brutish tank:

Transformation is pretty nifty, with some nice bits turning the treads into his arms. Mech mode is the shortest of the first four, but nice and powerfully bulky.

Poseabilty is pretty good. The main shoulders (with the treads) on on springs so they pop back down, bit the hinge on the outer shoulder takes care of that issue. The waist is also on a spring for the standard "Power Punch!" feature, but can be disabled if you wish.

Even from behind you can tell not to mess with him:

You can also leave the shoulders in, but that looks a little silly:

All in all though, a GREAT figure, tied for the top spot of the first four with Venom. Pick him up if you see him.

Just unscrew the waist and remove the spring from the mechanism.

I think white, but I don't have him with me tonight to check.

Yeah, he's cool. Not cool enough to really warrant the upcoming Grey Hulk repaint, though. Except that I think in the end Grey Hulk will be the only Marvel Crossover I'm not interested in, which means I'll buy it anyway because being only one off of complete is stupid.

More transformation steps that people have missed: His wrists slide inwards, centering them on his forearm. Somehow makes his arms look even stronger.

And about half the pics here show him without his legs extended. They don't slide out much, but enough that his kneepads don't overlap his shins.

Anyways, he totally rocks. Solid figure, innovative transformation, great poseability, and inobtrusive gimmicks. I'm gonna have to customize him, though, because I'm not really sold on the whole transforming superhero thing, but that's beside the point. He's simply an awesome beast of a figure. It's amusing that he's the only Hulk figure in a long time that can actually form acceptable fists.

Well, holy crap! I usually extend the legs, but that's the first I've heard of the wrists. Thanks for the tip!

I got the gray version. Really fun toy and surprisingly poseable if you transform the shoulders the right way. My only complaint is that the legs sometimes collapse back down under his weight after I extend them.

Really? My grey Hulk is fine and I've had him a week or so with no collapse of his legs. Now I need a red version, c'mon Hasbro, you know you want to.:D

Definately want to get this guy, though I think I'll kitbash him into, say, Grimlock. :)  And I'm curious what he looks like next to the previous "Transformer" Hulk, from Toybiz.

Ya know... Maybe someone else has thought of it already in the Radicon section, but this guy would be a cool mold to do a BEASTBOX repaint!!! The face even looks kinda ape-like. And I heard theres a Thunderclap gimmick! Awesome.
