One of the greatest jet molds of all time is the classics seeker mold imo.

Today i will review the newest addition to the line classics/universe 2.0 ACID STORM.

I love this mold and the color scheme is quite nice up close with a variety of colors and camo.

the green and brown camo are a nice choice for him.(the baby blue nosecone is the only strange choice but seems to work.

Overall a perfect addition to seeker and con collectors 

Now if they release the other rainmakers he will fit quite nicely with them.

straight up comparison to classics starscream(not henkei)

The paint apps are alot better on acid storm compared to starscream

the head is painted a darker Grey/silver with redder eyes.The chest has a very nice shiny black compared to red as does the launchers and fists.

The paint on this one has a few errors but nothing noticeable besides only one foot with silver.

No rubsign this time around but a large black con logo is stamped on the front of both wings and the tail wings.Overall a way better paint style than classics starscream rivaling that of henkei style.

 

Great review. I like the paint job and what they did with the cockpit.

 

I usually like repaints (if the character is someone I like like or they surpase their previous colourscemes) but this guy just looks terrible to me. The camo does not look like camo to me (no, I'm not making a rude or disgusting implication) and the overall coloursceme is just unexciting. Not to mention the mould is sub-par at best.

I'll save my money for Sideswipe or Blu... Silverstreak. (two repaints I actually like)

 

Great review tamo536! Always interesting to see how most of the Classic Seeker repaints are better than Screamer' (e.g. with the painted face) when it comes to paint apps.

 

Might get two, to give Starscream a head upgrade.

 

As much as I love Seekers, want as many as possible, encourage the idea of new ones being added to the mix, and think this is the single best Seeker mold ever made (so far), I still can't get excited about this one. There just isn't anything about this blue, green, brown & yellow color scheme that is good, and it looks more like a fan-made custom job than anything official imo. Thankfully this Acid Storm character (and all of these so-called Rainmakers) mean exactly squat to me or the fiction, so it'll make it easier to skip. It's still a shame, though.

 

Awesome looking fig, he's a definate buy for me! 

 

I might get one, the feet and arms will be good for my thundercracker and the head for starscream.

 

I LOVE this character. The mold is definitley one of my favorites and the paint scheme is cool and different. I only collect Decepticons so this is really an easy buy for me!

 

I'll probably get one to swap heads with Starscream.

 

I hope they release Sunstorm, This guy's pretty cool though, it'll be nice to be able to get the classics Seeker mold at retail.

why is it different?

 

I'll probably end up getting him anyways, but I really don't like the paint scheme/colours.

 

The Classics Starscream is dull gray, with slightly messy paint apps. Acid Storm, like Skywarp appears to have the much nicer, shinier face.

I agree with tamo about this being one of the best TF jet molds yet. It is probably my favorite Transformers mold, period. They really capture the G1 cartoon seeker designs about as perfectly as I could hope for, and are, honestly, a huge upgrade to the original toys. I'll definitely pick this one up if I see it.
