I was a bit concerned that I may not be able to find him, due to what I thought was such a low case ratio. However, that proved not to be an issue. Picked him up today, put him in the Classics Seekers ranks, and he looks great.

I was really debating getting this guy, since I have so many of this mold but I'm glad I got it now. Acid Storm needs a faction symbol on his nosecone(they put one everywhere BUT there) but besides that he's A-OK.

Does Acid Storm have easier to fold fins? I had ones that were so tight, they stressed and snapped the plastic...

I have 5 now(2 prerelease and 3 retail in store)

and 3 of them have loose fins and wings that i fixed with some crazy glue/nail polish.

The mold is degrading so this may be the last seeker from the mold unless they make a new mold.

    1. New paint is simply toygasmic.
    2. It's another Seeker.
    3. It's another Seeker that's NOT Starscream, Thundercracker, or Skywarp.

    Dislikes:

    1. None really.

Yeah, people are dismissing this repaint way too quickly. Every joint on mine is just as tight if not tighter than on my first run Classics Screamer. Total shocker, I didn't think he'd be this cool, but he is awesome. Might be my favorite use of the mold. While there is some obvious mold wear, he's still very sturdy, and the paintjob is greatness. If you're debating it, go buy this figure, like, now. Go.

I'm really happy with this figure. It's one of the best molds to come out of the Classics line and the Acid Storm colour scheme looks really neat. I do notice some mold degradation, though, as the connections between the arms and the missile launchers are loose in robot mode. I'm just sticking to having Acid Storm hold his launchers in his hands to avoid them falling out and to help set apart from the other Seekers a little more. The tailfin-mount is also a bit loose on one of the legs, but that's not a big deal.

Just got Acid Storm today and am impressed...I've never had the chance to own any of the classics seekers, so this one was a treat.

The mold itself has gotten some flak, which I don't understand. Owning MP Starscream, and a couple of the old G1 seekers, this imo is easily the best mold of the three. It is perhaps a bit...short and stubby to be a perfect G1 homage to the original trio, but that works better for a generic grunt like A.S.

My particular figure has the loose shoulder attachment for his guns, but otherwise in decent shape. I'll take people's word for it when they say the mold has degraded, but objectively speaking, nothing feels off here Nice tight joints and everything...

He's perhaps lacking a few paint-apps, but that is easily remedied...

    Acid Storm is... Acid Storm.

    Pros:
    * The Classics F-15 seeker mold seems to be holding up pretty well so far.
    * Nice to have a new character with some media basis (green rainmaker guy)
    * Also cool that this appears based on a 'real' camo scheme (early prototype test-beds for the F-15E Strike eagle were painted a similar green and gray w/ black markings "Euro 1" camo scheme)
    * Colors in robot mode are different, especially for a 'seeker', but work nicely IMO.

    Cons:
    * Guns fit kinda loosely in the shoulder holes and come out easily.
    * I don't care for having some of the front end of the canopy painted over (there's already a frame there that isn't on a real F-15, probably for "different enough to not pay license fees" purposes, but filling in 'windows' in that is a bit much.)

Summary: Chances are you already have this mold in some form, so if you like it, and like the camo color scheme, you won't have a problem.

If the shoulder cannons are loose in robot mode simply tighten the screws on the back of the arms. I did this with my classics skywarp and it worked perfectly.

I guess Thrust, Sunstorm ad Dirge are customs

Who's the light blue one to the left of Skywarp? Thundercracker or a custom character?

Yeah guys, this man speaks the truth. It's not necessarily mold degradation: Ever since they started re-releasing the seeker mold (Henkei Starscream, Henkei Ramjet, Acid Storm) the factories haven't been tightening the screws tightly enough. The two halves of the shoulder form the socket for the guns, so if they aren't screwed tightly enough, the gun socket isn't snug enough to hold the gun pegs securely. If you give the screw on the back of each shoulder a good firm turn, till they won't comfortably move anymore, your guns should fit perfectly.

Wait... if the guns are loose, all you have to do is tighten the screws?

I guess I know what I'm doing with my Classics Starscream tonight.
