well, i got me a Powerglide finally.
it was on sale and the shelves at the walmart were barren.

i have made it a habit to come to TFW2K5 before i dive into a toy. and damn that wing rotator-cuff part is a stiff connection.
gonna fix that asap.

i hate the position of the button, but am otherwise impressed by this figure. and he is stable in bot mode.

i gotta try that Gerwalk mode right after i take a sharpie to a few parts for detailing- like the cannon.

I got myself a Powerglide yesterday. I really like him. I had to loosen up his wings because they were extremely tight. He's a lot of fun to transform.

I finally got this guy today...

...less than two hours later he was back at the store. No love for this figure. Doesn't hold together in either form; stubby, useless arms; awkward, ugly legs; jet mode is an eyesore and bulgy (not as much of an issue on Stormcloud who's colours hide this better) and he doesn't fit in with any figures I own, Classics, Universe... hell, I even tried comparing him to some movie and Animated figs just incase I could work him into there, but no. Oh, and monkey-fist-tits. That's the biggest visual problem I have. (I was hoping they wouldn't be as... intrusive in real life)

I've never.... what is the right word? I don't want to say hate, I just dislike so much about him, but I don't hate it. But I've never had to return a figure because I disliked it so much. I've only bought three figures in my entire life that I actually regret.

I really hope TRU Darkwind isn't as bad. (there's no way he could, since he looks awesome with those colours) The only reason I bought this guy was because I couldn't find Purplewave at Zellers. :/

BUT, since I don't like to be a total hater-gator, I DID like:

His gun. One of the nicer TF guns.
His sounds. Especially the transformation noise was well implemented.

Hmmm... his head was okay, but not anything great. The heart was unexpected (well, not unexpected, we've known about it for over a year) and it's interesting they would add that to reference that one episdoe where he abuses that chick.

^ ^He isn't that bad, I think the mold is pretty solid. I went for Stormcloud instead of Powerglide and he is definitely worth it.

He is that bad. Powerglide is at least. I wanted Stormcloud but he had a missing wing. I probably would've returned him. $40 is a lot of money and I don't want to just spend it willy-nilly, which is probably ANOTHER reason I dislike him.

Usually this is where I'd say "but like most Universe figures, he has a good headsculpt" but he doesn't. It's just boring.

I especially didn't like the tail of the jet. It kept flopping around and didn't peg into the head.

Wow, this guy is one of my favorites. Might pick up an extra on BBTS since he is on clearnace. Mine has a loose wing, and while trying to fix it I launched on of his ratchet springs into oblivion.

And I don't know what is the problem with the tail of the jet on yours. The head fits snugly in the tail, and everything stays where it should be.

And people who keep complaining about his "breasts" need to take some anatomy lessons. He has a narrow chest, and very wide shoulders with cannons

My only real complaint is that he doesn't sit properly on his landing gear with his gun attached, and his wings don't really peg up on his shoulders well... but they stay in the right place, just no pegging.
Recent acquisitions: Animated: Activators Cliffjumper & Dirge, Voyager Skywarp; SDCC 2009 Soundwave; Alternity Megatron (silver); Henkei: Legends Wheelie, Warpath, and Cosmos;

Nothing against you, I can see why people like it, but I also like stuff like the movie designs an Animated figs, not everyone likes everything. (And I tried not to be violently anti-<subject> here)

Yeah, I pretty much chalked that up to a fluke. Nothing against the design, just the specific one I got. Same with the wings. Design is fine, but one of the pegs just didn't work and the other's ratchet joint always wanted to pull the wing out.

I got no problem with big titties on TFs... hmmm, I think maybe that came out wrong. Well, I don't usually get bothered by those... "interesting design choices," but they just look ugly no matter what.

My only real complaint is that he doesn't sit properly on his landing gear with his gun attached...[/quote]Funny, this didn't bother me at all. :/

I like this guy... He definitely ain't no Onslaught, but he's pretty solid.

Rest in peace, Pickles. We'll never forget.

Dissapointed might be the word?

I'm surprised you dislike it so much that you returned it to the store. I quite like the figure myself, but then I'm rarely disapointed with stuff I buy I know some don't like the size, the torso, or some other stuff, but I like it, especially in red (Henkei).

I've yet to get a Classic/Universe mold that I dislike enough to regret it, but I don't have them all yet
