His arms are a bit of a mess, not highly posable but they're cool and creepy. The fact that they can't bend back kinda sucks. The legs have good range and no waist isn't an issue. Vehicle mode is weird though, but I like his weapons. XBL GT: SPLITTLIP Quote:

I might do that and use his chain for something else, then again his chain does complete the cartoony look and looks more like a real chain. XBL GT: SPLITTLIP Quote:

At the moment he's in a 'Mmm... rubbing my belly...' pose. |

Not only do both modes have a rockin' aesthetic, and not only are both modes virtually kibble-free, but both modes hide from each other very well. A true rarity.
The only, and I mean only, mark I can strike against this guy is the non-stimulating brain-dead transformation. However, that's a huge one in my book. But I can't really wag my finger at the engineers because both modes are so perfect there really is no better way to design the transformation.
Recommended anyway, but only if you have already taken care of the more "significant" Animated purchases. www.fluffypotato.com |

Collection Count: Can't count Transformers, two Shinki, a lot of Bionicles (normal & customs), a few Gundams | Here's my opinion on Oil Slick: Quote: Transformers Animated Oil Slick review: Vehicle Mode:
At first, you might be saying: "WTF? Why does Oil Slick have four wheels?" Well, to tell you the truth, it's pretty cool. I mean the ram head makes the motorcycle mode hard core!

Front view.
Bird's eye view. My Thoughts on Vehicle Mode:
Fairly nice. Better than what I expected of Oil Slick. I just think the barrels on the side are far too odd for even this toy....
Now on to the even odder Attack Vehicle Mode:
I don't really get why they made him have a attack vehicle mode when you're mid-transforming him. Basically, he's on his knees, hands, and his head's popped out. Mostly strange to me.

Back view.
Bird's eye view. My Thoughts on the Attack Vehicle Mode:
Pretty odd. Why did Hasbro incorporate it into the toy? No matter, though it will cost me some stars..... Robot Mode:
Now I had wonder why Oil Slick had a jar on his head, and I think it's to make this Transformer different from the normal ones like his vehicle mode. His 'hands' are basically claws, with his thumbs resembling the purple mandibles of Blackarachnia's spider mode. Two thing bothering me is that his lower body is in a permanent pelvic thrust, and his nose is Squidward-huge.
Side view.
Back view.
Now his barrels are both weapons. His right barrel is a chain weapon, as shown. Also, the flaps that hold the barrels can fold up, like this:
See? Now here's what the left barrel does:
It pops open and looks like he tosses chemicals at his opponents. Kind of useless, unless you want to make him look like he's drinking.
Here it is again, this time at the side. My Final Thoughts:
This toy may have passed the review, but he hasn't passed the pro's and con's!! Pro's:- Nice vehicle mode, although a bit weird.
- A ram head is on the front of his vehicle mode. That's hardcore.
- Awesome articulation.
- It's the only Animated toy that haven't made a appearance on the cartoon and having his toy sold first.
Con's:- Unwanted attack vehicle mode.
- Head's in a jar.
- Barrels are out of place in vehicle mode.
Now this toy if you want to buy it, go ahead. But if you're on a budget, and can't afford many Transformers, you may want to overlook this guy. Stars: 8.5 out of 10
"I have a drinking problem...."
