If you look at the comparison pic bwtween Classics and G1 Blaster, the color scheme is similar: 
Basically Hasbro decided to make the robot mode closer to G1 at the expense of making the alt mode look weird. I would have preferred an all black stealth fighter color scheme, similar to the exclusive Takara Black Galaxy Force Soundblaster.

I already have a black one (the SB you mentioned), so I wouldn't want a totally different character looking the exact same in alt-mode.  Radicons aren't limited to just Transformers. . . .
