I figured how to do it, and I just want to show you guys. Sorry for bit blurry pic, my camera almost an out of battery, so I have to take the pics as fast as I can.
First of all, snarl has two panel on his chest
take the smaller panel or the lower one and move it in front of the upper one.
Now swing the chest down and you can properly locked the leg's peg with the hole on the lower chest panel
Now the dino head could place properly on the chest, by putting the dino's lower mouth into the little dent on the lower chest
Viola!! now your Snarl will look good as he should be |

Pretty much just left him in this stage
Dino mode is cool, he's probably my 2nd to last favorite Animated, but he was worth the ten bucks. Will appreciate him more once all the Dinobawts are on the shelf

Simply bring the dino head down to waist level in robot mode, and point the face outward.

I know it's just a side effect of his transformation, but it's great that he can 'point' with his club.
Plus, he works great with the Headmaster accessory.
Since these pics, I've painted his collar and he looks even better. The only other touchup that I had to do was shaving a bit off of the club's tab so it fit 'snugly' instead of 'jammed in there.'

Collection Count: Um... this is going to need a trip into the attic | Just bought Sna... Slag. Thanks to everyone who posted advice on getting the dino head positioned correctly in robot mode. Especially Xcandescent, who for some reason posted the instructions that made me go "Oh THAT'S what people mean." Not sure why that specific post worked for me, but... meh. Thanks everyone.
So, the figure. He's got a lot of charm and personality for something I should really not like. His posability is terrible for a modern TF, but... I love him. The club's getting painted, but aside from that I really like him. One thing I don't understand: why does he have a light-piping doofer in the back of his head when his eyes are painted?
Oh, and Hasbro. Please sort your instructions and pictures out. I really shouldn't have to rely on the internet to figure out how to properly transform a figure. |

His dino mode is nice and compact and sturdy, as it should be, and his robot mode is the same way. His chubby little face has lots of character and you kinda think he's in a bit of a grump for some reason but sulking until someone notices he's not happy so he can then have a loud complain.
I gave up on the instructions when it came to his chest, but worked out the way it should go anyway. I don't care his articualtion is a bit lacking. I was really expecting a brick when I opened him, but he has enough of a range of movement for me. Anyways, his stature and build wouldn't lend well to poses like the lankier figures like Prowl.
Slightly disappointed his cheeto isn't painted, but not sure yet if I'll give it a dab myself. I was also disappointed there's nowhere to store his club in dino mode. I really think Hasbro missed a trick by not having the end of the handle peg into his open mouth in dino mode to simulate him breathing fire. |

Anyway, I got him largely to go along with Grimlock, but man, he's a nifty little guy. I reversed the nose horn, but I haven't trimmed the cheeto though.
Overall, quite a bit of fun though, I like him as a Bruiser.
