Cool. I have a feeling that he's going to be one of my favorites from this line, and he'll be my first Soundwave figure. If my memory is correct, you have a Voyager Bulkhead? If it isn't too much trouble, could you post a picture comparing Soundwave to Bulkhead in bot-mode, and maybe even alt-mode? Thanks in advance if that's possible. I'm looking forward to the video review.

I THINK that Jazz's doors on his arm can be rotated 180° and pushed back a little bit

Pretty good review. I especially liked the Soundwave voice used at the begining. Soundwave does have an interesting transformation. Thanks for posting the review. It'll help me transform Soundwave easier when I get him, lol.

Though post-G1 lines never had any problem ridding Megatron of his Microman Change roots, it's taken them until just recently to figure out how to do the same for Soundwave. Both the Cybertron and Animated versions are well done in this regard.

It's especially fun that they managed to work a music theme into Animated Soundwave, both in the show and via the Laserbeak guitar (perhaps inspired by Bluegrass from Silverhawks?) for the toy, despite the fact that a van does not say "cassette player" any more than a stealth fighter did, regardless of the vague cassette player-esque designs on the doors and chest.

You may mention this in the video, but it's loading slowly for me right now:

When I looked at him at BotCon, it seemed like the knobs on Laserbeak could plug into either of Soundwave's forearms, allowing him to "hold" the guitar correctly, rather than needing to prop it up like in your pics.

You are correct. He's got a plug hole in each inner forearm that attaches to the body of the guitar, so he's ambidextrous.

He also has 2 rectangular plugholes on his outer forearms that will allow laserbeak's feet to plug into them.

Watch the paint apps near his rear windows; mine are a bit sticky as if the paint isn't bonding well to the plastic. Needed some touch ups and a sealant.

PS, he's tiny
