Screen Battles: Last Stand Review

Packaging
------------------------------
- Rectangular box-shape
- Dimensions: 11 1/2 inches long, 6 1/2 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide

Comment: "Displayed so nicely that'll make you never want to open it."

Seriously, it's that neat. The background wallpaper is of the city and there's Brawl to the right. The top see-through plastic has the title on semi-vertically panel and on top an Autobot faction symbol on top. It's only attached by tape so you won't have to butcher it or the box to get the toys out. The box itself is easy to open and dismantle, making it east to store or redisplay the toys.

Price
------------------------------
- $19.99 US

Comment: "As much as a Voyager class..."

The price really stings. The extra piece of the set doesn't really justify the extra $10 add-on.

Longarm
-------------------------------
- The same as a Deluxe class Longarm except minor add-ons
- Mikaela is added in the driver seat and is painted
- All of the new paint applications are done to the alt. mode ONLY

Comment: "More details! More power!"

Same as the previous Longarm, but better detailed. http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/I...inalStand1.jpg
The picture pretty much sums up what changed. On a side note, the joints seems a lot more stiffer. I am not sure if it's a quality issue thing or not.

EDIT: The hook works on my old Longarm. The new one had a bad mold cut; it looks minor but it's not since it won't fit into BB. I don't know how you can spot this so I guess you have to be lucky.

I fixed it but shaving it little by little with a box cutter. It's still a tight fit and needs some force to get it in, but it works.

Crippled Bumblebee
--------------------------------
- NOTE: Mines has a poor quality issue (cannon painted wrong and hair sticking out from one of the joints)
- Actually hooks on to Longarm (gaping hole on the back)
- Right shoulder is the only thing you can articulate
- Left shoulder and legs can only swivel
- Head can swivel but rather limited due to neck guards in the way
- Autobot symbol on forehead is just a red dot

Comment: "He's Hindu now and proud of it!"

The only the arm cannon can you really do anything with it. The legs you can twist up and down. The left hand is really huge and seems disproportionate to the body. You can push it up to make seems like he's waving or high-five the 'peeps. Pull it down to make him throw it down. I almost broke off the peg from the arm cause I thought it would be like right shoulder so this is fair WARNING to those out there. There's no articulation in the elbows or knees. It's fun of all the you can do. The detail of the figure is nice, just the weird orange-yellow throws it off. Unexpectedly, he's small. There's no paint on ankle area so it's okay to drag him around on Longarm, just as long there's no pressure on the 'bee so the plastic won't grind against the surface. If you're really concerned of taking off the plastic, then use a soft surface like carpet or a towel.

Overall recommdation:
----------------------------------
Comment: "If you got the money..."

I bought him because I wanted the BB and I thought the detailing on Longarm was worth it. The detailing is nice, but not enough to get another Longarm, especially at the price. So if you have one already, you're not missing out on much. If you don't, and don't mind the price tag either, then go ahead and nab one. The BB is okay. He's tempting. However, it's rather limited on what you can do with him aside from recreating the scene or having a really f*&ked BB. If you really want this set, despite of all I said, then only get if you have the money to spare. Otherwise, it would be wise to save that money for upcoming figures.

Collectors: Maybe, only if the 'Bee tempts you.
Completists: Obviously, yes...
Gifts for kids: Only if they don't have a Longarm, otherwise they'll have loads of fun recreating the movie scene.

Pictures now added of Crippled BB. Sorry for the bad quality (bad lighting and camera) of the images. If you have questions or want to see more pictures post a reply.

Thanks for the review. I kept mine unopened as the box battle scene makes for a nice display. I have to agree the price tag may be a little much for a deluxe and a few extras. Maybe around the $15 range would have been more reasonable.

with the great background in the box, and the nice big plastic covering, this is really just a display piece. you can get much more from just getting a dlx longarm and a robot replica BB, same price but twice the fun with the BB.

But I did buy one anyways, just for the sweet display purpose.
