We have seen detailed galleries already for that figure, so I won't bother posting a bazillion pictures this time.

Shrink-wrapped (with twisties... I wonder why since it's only a loose test shot?)

    VEHICLE MODE

The pictures speak for themselves... almost. It looks good, but it doesn't feel THAT good. A lot of spring-loaded stuff translates into a not-so-tight feel. The rear of the cab sometimes wants to unfold if you grab the truck by the roof and the missiles sometimes fire (in the rear tires - not good!). Classics Prime has a better feel. The Cullen gimmick is pretty cool : you open the door and he disappears (flips back). You close the door and the little peg pushes a mechanism to unfold the seat and reveal the driver. Overall, a very nice truck, especially with the darker blue that has some sparkling effect to it.

    TRANSFORMATION

A bit in the style of Ironhide as it has a decently challenging transformation. I don't really know how I got from point A to point B but I made it. Can't really explain what happens in between, but the leg transformation is very cool with a lot of shifting and folding and twisting. I wonder what the designer was smoking that day! All the automorphing is in the legs. Some panels move inside the legs, others outside. Pretty clever. The arms unfold from the under the cab, head too. I like how they hide the torso (upside-down behind the real cab).

    ROBOT MODE

This is where the toy shines. Very poseable, imposing, guns can be shoulder-mounted or hand-held, firing missiles, very good poseability, quite stable, hard to ask for more! The open hands are quite a departure from older Transformers, but I like it, I was getting a bit tired of drilled out fists. Piping works pretty good too, although that particular shade of blue is so-so.

Overall, it's a good toy that could have had a tighter fit in truck mode. Otherwise, it has to be the coolest Prime since... Classics Optimus Prime. :)

isnt his backpack meant to be the other way up?
Im not sure which way looks better.

Also, Ratchet looks really out of Scale with the others, hes too bulky.

Nothing you haven't seen, but somehow all the ones who got the toy never really bothered reviewing it.

Interesting. Looks like Voyager Prime will be more in-scale with the other Autobots than the Leader version. The truck mode looks just the right size next to 'Bee, Ratchet, and Ironhide.

    *sigh*
I'm going to have to buy every single damn Autobot toy from the movie line. They're just too good.

How does he compare size-wise to Classic Prime in truck mode? The Seibertron gallery has him next to LROP, and this guy is a smaller scale (toys are about the same size, but as this is a larger truck model with a sleeper section and the wheelbase is a bit narrower, this is a smaller scale). My guess is that this guy's scale kind of hovers between LROP and Classic, making him a tad small when compared to deluxe cars and a tad large when compared to basic cars, but I'd like to know for sure (he does look a little small next to the other movie Autobots).

I'm so tired of waiting for mine..I have basically the complete set of movie figures coming, FAB and Voyager ones..And each day..Nothing. It gets really really frustrating! But I too got the roboversion, but I actually like this one here more I think, different paint apps that kinda look better in my opinion, for robot mode.

Mr. Troptimus (or any other Voyager Prime owners) I have two questions:

Does the passenger door also open on the truck mode?

With the door open, and the built-in-figure stored away, will a Lego man (or at least the torso and head) fit in the driver's seat?

Additionally, the mechanism for the driver is tied to the door. If close the door, the driver will try to pop back down, attempting to crush the poor little Lego man.

Not if I were to file off the knob on the door that triggers the mechanism.

Sadly (or perhaps fortunately, since I won't have to buy a second Prime to mangle) there's no need.

Planning on replacing the 'archeville-grey' Cullen with a cowboy-hat-and-mustache lego man, were we? :D
