Just got the 08 Bumblebee twin pack. I looked at the instructions and   they're for transforming from truck to robot! Anyway. After a bit of fiddling with the legs I got it into Truck mode. I dont even think I want the leader version any more. The weapons are cool and you can have them on his back kinda like the original OP with the smoke stacks on his shoulders. Great figure :D .

    Zombie thread? :D

I picked up the Target Screen Battles 2-pack with Voyager Optimus and Bonecrusher. This is the first version of the Voyager Prime mold that I've bought. Bonecrusher doesn't look any different than my original, but Prime has quite a few different paint applications from all three previous versions.

An image of the original from Seibertron:
Optimus Prime - Transformers Movie Toy Gallery - Photo #76

Color differences, as far as I can tell:
    - The grey plastic may be a warm grey rather than a more silver grey, but it's hard to compare the toy to the online pictures.
    - Some of the silver paint on the face and midsection has a very faint gold tinge.
    - no blue paint on the forearms
    - no red paint on the shoulders, and the shoulder 'flaps' are dark blue rather than red.
    - more painted blue details on the 'shins'
    - the fake windows on the chest are a light metallic blue, and most of the upper torso around the windows is dark blue.

As far as I can tell, the truck is the same, and the robot looks the same from the back.

I missed out on the Robovision edition, but I like the screen battles paint job quite a bit, and I can always paint parts of it silver if I like. If you already have this figure, there's not enough new here to warrant a new purchase, but if you don't have it at all it's worth buying. I just wish Bonecrusher had some differences from the original.

edit: here's a borrowed image from Seibertron.com, with a similar image of the Target recolor. Original image here: Optimus Prime - Transformers Movie Toy Gallery - Photo #125

Cool, thanks for posting those photos. I was curious to see a side-by-side comparison of those two.

I also think the launchers are to hair trigger.

I wish they'd make launchers with sliders switches no rockers then you'd not shoot yourself in the face accidently so often.

But then I also wish all electronic Transformers had off switches too.

I've got two of this mold so far, and one of the launchers was so hair trigger that I took the spring out and glued the missile in. Other three launchers aren't too bad, but I'm tempted to glue them all. I hate launching missiles.

Movie Voyager Prime is THE BEST version of Prime in this toyline. The Leader version doesn't look good at all. It is too short and fat. The Voyager version gets the character proportions alot better.

I had two of the Leader Prime that I sold because I liked the Voyager version that much better. The Voyager truck mode is even better than the Leader IMO. The pop-out driver in truck mode is priceless.

As a side note, does anyone know where I can get the Battle Damaged version besides ebay? (they're scarce on ebay and when they do have them they're way too pricey.)

I like the screen battles version quite a bit, but I have to admit, I wish I'd picked up the robovision version. I saw it once in Target, and that was it. Never again.

I had 2 but gave one away to an ex-friend(ungreatful user of a prick)

That dude literally conned me out of almost my entire collection at one time.

Anyway, now that I have been staring at the screen battles version I don't mind it so much, in truth it's very movie accurate in terms of color placement all over the toy.

The problem with the original TFM 2007 prime was the missiles. To address this, Place it in, if it pops out, rotate an insert again until it stays so that the missile does not pop out at will.
I do like the Voyager Prime better than the Leader version. The backpack of the Voyager is easier to balance than the one on the Leader.
The Screen Battles Prime is the true premium series prime since it is so movie accurate in its details and colors. If you like shiny stuff then Robo-vsion is for you. The battle-damaged version looks cool because it is had battle marks for dramatic emphasis. I have all version of this molds, so I know.

i do NOT like this mold of movie prime.. i guess its coz i bought first strike OP without knowing it, and it turned out to be a very boring repaint and very non-movie accurate, and i was very disappointed :D  that was just when i started collecting

Sorry for bringing this back, but is there a way to fix his missiles so that they don't pop out?
