Pretty impressive, and a very nice box to boot.

I didn't order Astrotrain (I guess based on the Sandokan club story stuff, he's the Astrotrain of the A-E-C universe), but Airrazor should be coming to me soonish.

since Astrotrain's a repaint of Armada Jetfire, does that mean he could combine with Armada Optimus ?

Don't see why not. Pretty unlikely the bits that allow combining would be remolded.

Somebody should repaint Armada Prime into Octane. And THEN combine the 2.

I just joined the club a few weeks ago, and I'm still debating whether or not to get this guy. The head sculpt is okay, but not great. As someone mentioned earlier, it's oddly expressionless, and the eyes are too far up on the head (or the cranium just seems a bit small, one or the other). I do like the color scheme a lot, though, and the minicons have some homage-y goodness (if I remember from previous pictures, Astro-Sinker is painted like an G1 Insecticon and Astro-Hook is painted like a G2 Constructicon, right? Not to mention the names).

Plus it's Astrotrain; he's just a great character.

I don't have the Armada Jetfire mold, though, so I'm curious: can the wings be swung down, rotating all the way down like a cape? Or is their range of motion limited to an "up" position? If the former is true, I think I would almost prefer them swung down.

Yeah, they can swing down.

Jetfire is one of my favorite molds from Armada, although I like the original headsculpt much more than this one.

There is a range of motion in the wings, but I can't recall if you can swing them all the way down, and I don't have him handly to check. I'm thinking yes, though.

Actually, down is the the normal position for the wings in shuttle mode, you have to swing them up for the robot mode. They stay down for the pants mode.

Ah, cool! Thanks guys! That actually makes me much more inclined to buy the figure (I dunno, something about the wings sticking up looks ungainly to me).
