The latest 6" Tit is on my desk!

    A few points of interest-

*He is without a doubt the most faithful recreation of BM Cheets ever. He can stand up, has great detailing, comes with REMOVEABLE swords... I could go on and on!

*Beast mode/ transformation isn't too complex. Basically just "Stand up & switch heads." For about the 5th time in a row.

*Sadly, the swords do NOT combine to form the glider/boomerang.

*Arms & Legs are both attached via ball-socket joints. Great mobility there! Unfortunately, there's no linear movement at the elbows aside from what's needed for transformation (think Night Slash w/o the weapons).

*It is incredibly hard to get Cheetor's Robot head back out for transforming. I accidentally mangled the plastic on his Beast neck when trying. I mgiht be doing something wrong; I hope this isn't a recurring issue.

Aside from the head issue, Cheetor's a great Titanium and the best incarnation of this character we've EVER gotten.

See, "Tit" looses all meaning when you don't capitalize it like a proper acronym. I know these are toys, but we don't need to act like 12 year olds.

I don;t think he was doing it as a joke. Also, it's not an acronym. An acronym is a grouping of letters separated by periods and each letter stands for a word. T.M.N.T for exanple stands for Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutles. "Tit" is an abreviation. So really it should be Tit. with the period at the end as it is an abreviation of a proper noun. Then you have a mis of abreviations and acronyms such as TFTM. TF is an abreviation while TM is an acronym, but no one seems to use periods, mostly because it takes too much work.

Anywoo, I don't really like cheetor at all. It doesn't really look like the source material as much as people might think. The color scheme might be accurate, but that's about it. Both head sculpts are off, robot mode is real chunky. It looks more like a reimagining of the design like Soundwave. That being said, it is better than other BM Cheetors but that's only because the other ones sucked.

be very careful when transforming the head. Read the instructions there's a trick. I had to dismantle mine to get the head out with out damage. Once I figured out the trick It transforms fine.

I have this coming in from BBTS tomorrow and glad to hear that it's a good figure, as I was really impressed with the early shots of it. I'll throw up a quick gallery when I finally get mine.

Yes and no. A grouping of letters seperated by periods, with each letter representing a word is just initials. An acronym is a very specific kind of initials, where the group of letters seperated by periods is pronounced as a word, rather than pronounced by spelling out the individual letters in the group. "TMNT" isn't an acronym because it's pronounced "Tee-Emm-Enn-Tee", spelling out the individual letters rather than pronouncing it "timint" or something like that (unless I'm way off here); so "TMNT" is just initials. Something like "PIN" (personal identification number) is an acronym because it's pronounced as the word "pin", rather than "Pee-Eye-Enn".
Other acronym examples - LASER, NATO, RADAR, SIN, OPEC
Not Acronyms - Tit, TMNT, TF, TFTM, BW, BM, etc.

    Sorry, pet peeve of mine.

It's universally known that short for titanium is "Ti", not "tit" or "tit.".

Gah, can we please have one discussion thread on the Titanium toys that does not turn into a discussion of the abbreiviation that people use to refer to the line as?

On topic, I'm looking forward to this one. I've got it coming in at some point in the next two weeks. I'm looking forward to it seeing as we never really got a decent show accurate Cheetor. Night Slash came close, but the colours were all wrong on him. This one looks like he will be a nice addition to either my Titanium shelf or my Beast Machines shelf.

Great figure, even if not wholly show accurate :thumb

Pros: great fig+paint; good articulation; very solid; BM logo :D

Cons: a bit small; cheetah head head is tiny; arm articulation; "hanging tail"

As nice as this Cheetor looks, he isn't very accurate in my opinion.

    1. His head is sculpted with an entirely different face.

    2. Though the cheast my be painted accuratly, it could be a lot more SA.

    3. The legs are the worst offenders. Not only that, but his Robot mode feet have claws/cat nails for some reason, even though his beast mode feet arn't his bot mode feet. Though there most likely for stability, but still could have been better.

    4. The arms couldn't really be helped, due to the transformation.

    5. How hard is it to recreate cheetors beast mode head accruratly?

This figure could have been so much more if Hasbro tried, at all.

I have no familiarity with the character at all (BW/BM wasn't my thing), I picked him up simply because I liked the looks of the Ti version. As far as transformation goes, it's overly simplistic even for a 6Ti figure, and overall is an example of why I never liked animal transformers.

    Articulation sucks.

He still looks cool though, displays well (in bot mode) with the rest of the Ti figures. The wife really likes him, and she's indifferent to most of the TF's I bring home :D

Anyone else have trouble with the swords? On mine, the hip pegs are too large and the swords will not attach where they're supposed to.

I've never seen a single episode of BM, but 6" Ti have been on such a roll lately I just had to have Cheetor. The bot mode looks fantastic. Muscular body, gold plastic and die-cast, with a cornucopia of colors splashed everywhere. This is the best paint apps yet for a 6" Ti. His legs are ball-jointed, and while adequately tight, I fear they may loosen eventually. Lets hope not! Arms definitely could use better articulation. Cheetor can't thrust his swords forward or to the sides too well.

When transforming Cheetor to beast mode, make sure you push back the bot mode head, and keep pushing until you hear a click. This will allow clearance for the robot head to fit in the chest cavity. Hasbro left all this out in the instructions. Special thanks to Motor Master for telling me this in my time of need. :lol

Beast mode looks just as sleek and powerful as the robot mode. The articulated neck on the beast is a nice plus. The swords can attach to his hips in beast mode, but the fit is very tight. They will *click* on with force though. So while not as pose-able as he could of been, Cheetor definitely looks awesome and I like him! :thumb

I'd say yes, he's a great rendition of the character, and possibly the best BM era Cheetor ever designed in terms off coolness and accuracy.

Neither did I, but that's neither here nor there. Besides, I like Tits.
