Easily one of my favorite Primes hands down... The guy is just SOLID... Love the two guns and the option of putting them on the back... Truck mode is beautiful and same with the bot mode... Could've used a trailer, but that would be just a bonus and doesn't take away from the figure...

9.5 out of 10.0 for me...

He's Optimus, he's VERY articulated, loaded for bear (two HUGE guns) and he has a very realistic looking Alt mode and and Complex transformation.... way better than the looks of the Optimus expected in the Two pack, way better than RM Prime and way more durable than THS-2~!

would've been best prime EVER if he had a trailer, as it is he's tied with RiD Prime, and GF Convoy for bestest Prime.

A whopping 18-points of articulation, sleek robot mode, believable alt mode and 2 BFGs. He's just solid all around. He can do almost all poses and is a joy to transform.
If you would compare him to an existing mold I would say that he's closest to G2 Laser Prime.

    Must-have!

Slick in both modes and just kick ass cool. Love both of his massive cannons and the fact they can become a shoulder cannon. Definately a Must Have. A+.

My only real problem with him: he can't look up! The head turns but doesn't tilt...

3 Classics had Tilting Ball joint heads (BB, Astrotrain and Megs)

3 Do not: (Screamer, Hotrod and Op) and it hurts those three trying to pose them witohut it...

I have this OCD thing of making my toys look up...

If you flip back his backplate slightly you can tilt the head up a bit. I know, not very convincing, but it helps with certain poses.

Yeah a balljointed neck would have been much better. The arm kibble is a little annoying too, but it's still freaking awesome. LOVE the weapons!

The things that would make it even better:

    Balljoined Neck
    Wrist swivel joints
    Trailer with Roller:(

In my dream world, they'd release a Trailer and Roller at the Voyager price point down the line, but I certainly can't hold my breath.

#3 in my Wave 1 Classics rankings. A++++++

I like the idea of getting a trailer with Roller down the line. If they don't want to release something without a bot, then make Roller transformable. It's about damn time Roller got some love like that.

I almost skipped him for Magnus, becuase I've got so many great primes. Very glad I didn't. Super solid figure, fantastic transformation, nicely armed. Non racheting joints are great, tight, solid, and infinitely adjustable.

I wish he had independantly articluated heels, but I suppose the needed to keep parts count down after setting up that chest cavity...what a nice transformation!

    Beautiful figure, A++

Prime is a good figure, don't get me wrong, but he's not what I expected.

The arm kibble is ass. The guns are good. So we're 1 for 1.

    Overall, I'd give him a B+

He's not bad, but he's not my favorite Prime by far.

This Prime figure is fantastic! You'll be amazed at how this somewhat boxy vehicle mode becomes this articulated, well proportioned warrior. His transformation is very unique among Optimii and fun to do. His guns both look awesome. A couple of small gripes: Needs more paint aps on the lower legs. Also his blue eyes get lost with the rest of his face; they should of light-piped them a different color, perhaps yellow. Arm kibble is a small hindrance at first but you'll get past it. If you pass on this figure you'll regret it for the rest of your life!

Can he, by any chance, connect with the 1984 trailer?

    Awesome figure A++++
Op and Starscream are definitely my faves.

What's up with Primes knee pads? They're one way on the box, a different way on the instructions, and third way on the actual figure. If I had to guess which one was right, I'd say it was the way they were assembled on the actual figure.

Very impressed with this figure! The transformation is fun, both modes look great and the amount of firepower is excellent. Only a few minor issues:

    - Door kibble on the arms is a little annoying, but doesn't get in the way that much.
    - Head doesn't tilt back.
    - Light-piping on the eyes doesn't work at all.
    - Handle pieces on the 'smokestack gun' come off easier than I'd like.
    - Heels and toes can't be positioned independently of each other.

Though that might seem like a lot of issues, they're all very small nitpicks and this is my favorite Prime to come out in quite awhile.

He's got nothing even remotely resembling a trailer hitch, so no.

Actually, there's a square plug. Someone could fashion an adapter to make a trailer hitch.

Yup. Anyone with THS-02 Convoy will understand how that square plug could be used as a receptacle of sorts for a trailer.

THS-02 has a similar plug and the pivot itself is on the trailer.

But that wouldn't connect him to an existing trailer, especially the G1 trailer.

Great figure. My only complaint is they should have used a lighter blue for the light piping for his eyes.
