Paralon is a Beast Wars homage to Scorponok, and, imo, is the best RiD deluxe so far. He features 20 points of articulation in robot mode: ball jointed shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow joint, ball jointed hips, thigh swivel, knee joints, ankle joints, feet joints, ball jointed tail, mid tail swivel, tail end swivel. As for the head, it is well painted, but I prefer Scorponok's more "robotic" head. Those of you that are fans of Beast wars Scorponok will probably like it however. In scorpion mode, he features 8 points of articulation: 3 points on the tail, movable jaw, ball jointed arms, swivel joints on the insect legs. His scorpion mode is excellent, and beast head is very well done! The paint on this guy is top notch is both modes....and he is also very solid, not hollow at all, in both modes! I recommend him, and I hope you all purchase him in either variant so we can encourage hasbro to make more unique deluxes like this one!

I'll think on this one. If I were to get either Scorponok or Paralon then I'd pick Paralon since he looks way better to me than Scorponok and plus I'd just call this one Scorponok anyways since he does have a resemblence to Beast Wars Scorponok.

You wont regret it man. His scorpion mode is probably the best one I've seen. Its just so much fun, so poseable.

Not at all, they are very solid and stable, quite easy to get him to stand surprisingly. Despite the thin look of the legs they are very durable.

I know I'll end up getting both Scorponok and Paralon but I think I want Paralon more!

I still love that he's a homage to BW Scorponok. He might be the one time I'll get both RID15 Scorponok and Paralon.

Lots of personality in this one. The claw transformation is unique, alternating between slightly frustrating to grasp and clever, depending on how I'm feeling at the time.

I passed on Starscream based on his aesthetic and reports of floppy hips. I did pick up this guy, though, and boy am I glad I did. What a fun little deluxe. I'm a sucker for a purple TF anyway, but he's just great. Posable, unique transformation, great sculpt. His robot mode head and beast mode claws aren't very articulated, but he makes up for that in other areas (beast mode mouth opens, tail very articulated, etc.)

    Highly recommended.

Picked up this figure and Starscream. Starscream sucks, but this one's pretty good.
The joints for the legs are nicely solid, but the shoulders needed some attention as they were a bit loose.
Plastic feels a lot better than Starscream and doesn't make me worry about pieces breaking.
The only downsides are those horrible claws. They're clever, but the design is disappointing in that you need the elbows locked in place to keep the claw parts from rattling around. I also think they'll fail in bot mode over time and stop locking to the shoulders.
Also, I gave the figure to my daughter that loves beast formers, and she was disappointed the claws didn't actually work as, well, claws.

I just picked this guy up yesterday and yup, other than non articulated claws, this is a pretty cool Transformer. Mine had really loose shoulders at first, and I mean pop off at ever movement shoulders, but I just heated up the ball sockets with hot water, pinched them in, and now have a really solid set of shoulders. :D

I bet everyone knows that down the road Paralon is going to be painted black and red just like Beast Wars Scorponok.

Can anyone post a picture of this guy with Animated Waspinator? I have both but Waspinator is in storage and I can't get to him right now. They'd probably look good together.

Paralon's a really nice though. I'd love to buy a repaint with a BW color scheme (toy or show), but as he is, he's still great.

I just got the TAV Scorponok version of this mold. Does anyone else's version of this mold have HUGE QC issues with the arms and claws? When in shoulder pad mode, the claws are super loose and pop out if I so much as look at them, and the arms pop right off their ball joints when rotating them.

it didn't even occur to me this dude's color scheme is nothing like either iteration of BW scorponok. that's pretty dumb.

Well I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact he's Paralon.
