The deluxe we didn't know we wanted...Robots in Disguise Starscream is a solid deluxe figure that blends G1esque colors with Animated aesthetics. He features 15 points of articulation: Head swivel (somewhat limited by collar) Swivel shoulders, swivel arms, ball jointed elbows, wrists swivel downward (due to transformation), ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, knee joints, and ankle joints. He is definitely not a hollow bot, not like his fellow rid deluxe Thunderhoof, as really only his ankles are hollow when you look at the back. The transformation I found to be very fun, and I like how the designers are able to hide and the robot bits. A few things to note about the alt mode. There is a very small gap in the middle of the jet where the legs transform that can be viewed when you look at the jet from above. Its not as bad as the gap on Generations deluxe windblade, but it is there. It didn't really bother me though. Another thing to keep in mind is the shoulders in the alt mode don't sit perfectly flush with the wings. If neither of those things bother you in the pictures, you'll be very happy with this Starscream, he continues to grow on me. Finally, for Animated fans, you can adjust his wings in robot mode by moving them upward making him look alot more like our favorite Animated Starscream. I only wish he had a smirk rather than a serious face....I can almost hear Tom Kenny's voice....

My pictures were not posted? Anyone know the size limit for pic uploads??? it said they were too large..

    Sweet! :)

I can't wait to get this one just because of the Animated influence. Hopefully sometime down the line they'll do him in Animated colors. :)

Yeah he very much clearly evokes Animated Screamer right here. How does he scale next to the TFP Screamer toys like either the FE Deluxe or PRID Voyager?

The Animated vibe kills any interest I had, and that Headsculpt just doesn't fit Starscream. Also, the cockpit isn't long enough on the chest, so I'm disappointed about that as well. First RID2015 figure I've disliked in a long time.
I'll stick with FOC Starscream for now.

^ Do you have the Voyager? I only have him since I refuse to buy the 1st Edition figures and I'd like to know how they look together. Thanks!

Why's that? Some of those figures are the best of the Prime line.

Got this earlier this week. Transformation is a lot more involved than I thought. There's neat steps to it that I never expected. It's an interesting transformation, I haven't seen anything like it in previous jet-formers. You'll still be able to figure it out without reading instructions. I was impressed with it.

Jet mode is sleeker from the front and sides than I thought it would be. More articulation than usual for an RID Warrior. However the ball jointed hips are loose.

Not from what I've dealt with. I have NYCC Bee & Arcee (plus Trans-Mutate) and MAN are they absolutely terrible, I mean Bee's arms don't even lock in. And I LOVE PRID Bee, love transforming him and he is one of my favorite Bees. Don't have Prime or Bulkhead, not bothering since I'm enjoying PRID Prime & Bulkhead more. I will admit I like Megatron (I have him as Rampage). And the Cliffjumper mold is okay but is outshined by the PRID mold. Plus I can figure out how to transform the PRID molds but not the 1st Edition, plus one for PRID. But this is all my opinion.

First Edition Optimus Prime and Bulkhead are infinitely superior to their PRID counterparts on both design and quality. PRID Optimus Prime has a ginormous back pack, bad plastic, a mediocre headsculpt, and his design just looks too elementary. The First Edition Cliffjumer actually has arms that work as well, and not gigantic sticks. Plus, the plastic on the First Edition figures was much better and not as cheap-looking as the PRID figures' plastic. First Edition Arcee was bad, but it couldn't be helped given the horrible design and issues.
Anyways, on to the figure itself. Starscream looks horrible. Too many Animated design references, the headsculpt is too thin and thus the helmet crams the face in. The wings and chest are probably the worst offenders. The wings are probably the worst wing configuration I've seen on a Transformers figure since I've been collecting around 2009. The wings don't look like a cape, and it ruins the figure. The cockpit is also too high and not long enough on the figure.
He's probably the worst figure so far of RID2015, and one of, if not the worst, Starscream I've seen.
