So you're just willfully ignoring Headmasters then? Dozens of episodes, the "Decepticon Super Formation" that he did with Weirdwolf and Mindwipe that most people chalk up as the most memorable scene of all of Headmasters?

Is the back flap/rubber cover easy to remove? Will he look weird without it in bot mode?

Kinda want to just remove the rubber and make open cockpit when I got him :D

According to some fans if it didn't happen in the American continuity it doesn't exist.

In bot mode not so much, in beast mode it will look awful. It isn't too difficult to work with though.

Any pic of it? Won't it just looks like a robot crocodile with open back and some tiny guy sitting in it?

Or maybe, can we like, take one of the transparent window from other TR and put it on him? I kind of want to make it obvious that this guy is a robot being controlled by another tiny bot.

This dude is screaming for a 3P upgrade, a new cockpit hatch, new articulated rear Croc legs that can fold into (or still sit outside) his robot legs and also some struts or something to improve stability.

Anyway as a kid I had little exposure to Skullcruncher in media, except for his role in S4 of the Cartoon and a few appearances in the UK comic (IIRC he appears in Time Wars) and he and Grax were featured in one of the puzzles in the 'Autopuzzle and Deceptiquiz' book.

But the reason why I had to have him is because he was my only Headmaster as a kid and I remember him featuring in the many massive battles we all had at boarding school or at my cousins. His 'character' came from his Bio and he was so well loved that Grax's arms eventually split his back/robot face off of the rest of him. Nothing a bit of superglue couldn't fix but I was still heartbroken when it happened (as an adult).

He was one of my favourite toys as a kid and couldn't be more stoked he got a proper TR update. If you don't care for it, fine. But don't rain on other peoples parades.

After messing with the wave 1 figures, as often is the case, the deluxes are the best of the bunch all in all.

Skullcruncher looks spectacular in beast mode and I'm looking forward to the beast ranks growing next month.

As shown at some event (Toyfair?), this is meant to plug into a base mode using the white peg. Most Deluxes seem to be able to do something like this with their weapons.

Cool. But that rubber back piece is odd. I hate rubber.

I truly love the look of this figure.

I'm going to have to sell some stuff so I can pay my BBTS pre-order for this.(wife says my collection must be self sustaining) Check my sales thread in my signature below.

I like him, despite some of the weird quirky design choices (how the croc arms are set up and the rubber cockpit door).

I still need G1 and the takara release to complete my crocigator farm.

I just found a Skullcruncher (yes, I know it's technically Skullsmasher, but I prefer the G1 name) at retail yesterday, and it is a great figure. However I've noticed that the head rattles about a little where it plugs into the neck, and the hips are super loose; if I'm not careful standing him up, he'll immediately do the splits. Hardhead, who I got with him, has the same issue with the head plug, but all of his joints are super tight. Since no one else seems to have noticed any joint issues so far, it's probably just my figure having this issue.

Actually in post #25 I mentioned that my Skullcrunchers hips are very loose. I even posted a couple of pictures showing the inside of the sockets to illustrate what I think was the factorys quick and nasty attempt to tighten it...

A City of Steel Optimus needs to happen.

While they are at it, maybe even a Transmetal Megatron retool as well.

He had a toy, and the toy had Tech Specs. Dozens upon dozens of hours of enjoyment with the original G1 figure says you are wrong.
