I'm surprised how much I like this figure, especially in comparison to the CHUG one that I really liked at the time, but putting them side by side now, this one takes the cake.

The way they really made sure to mimic as much of the G1 figure's deco as possible really impressed me. Pretty much all they got "wrong" was the color of his thighs, if they were the light color instead this would be near perfect.

Wobble is a slight issue, but not too bad on mine. The limp wrists on the other hand... I'll definitely try the suggestions someone upthread gave.

I really wasn't sure if I'd buy this one or not since I was already perfectly happy with the CHUG, but I'm really glad I did.

Almost perfect figure till you get to the head. His head design does not accommodate the headmaster gimmick. Looks too far and the crest on his head too small. On top of mine being really loose and wobbly at the neck joint and the headmasters legs also being loose and sticking out due to this. I popped the arms off of the headmaster to make Scourges head look less fat at least but now I've popped the head off the deluxe Scourge from a few years ago and put on instead. Looks much better.

If this Scourge had a standard-issue head, he'd have turned out a lot better. He's the only TR deluxe I feel that way about. The base figure is great. Aside from that head and some annoyingly imprecise ratchet-joints in the legs (seriously, when did this become such a problem?), he'd be the definitive CHUG Scourge.

The head looks way better on the Takara release, and I almost want to get him and use the TR version as a Sweep. But then I saw a picture of them together and didn't like how the TR one looked next to him; I would have to buy 3 Takara ones to waive my personal Scourge?Sweeps OCD, and that would be expensive. So yeah...no Sweeps for me. LOL

Colors arent as atrocious as blurr and decent enough alt mode. 'you want me to gut ulta magnus' mode alone is worth price of admission.

What bugs me are the lower legs front panel that just stick out in alt mode (even though its the undercarriage) and they resolved it by molding blasters, like it was an afterthought. I know space fairing soap bars dont need to be functionally aerodynamic but come on.

Yeah the little flaps underneath the alt mode are eh. Otherwise, I like it. The face sculpt is sweet and the little head gun extending is a nice touch I didn't expect. Soap mode is, under-flaps aside, sweet. I'm definitely gonna paint the thighs or something silver to break up the blue.

I'll admit, I wasn't really planning on getting Scourge after all the complaints, other issues and whatnot. However, not that long ago I got Legends Galvatron and I really love it. So, I got the older Cyclonus' and Scourges to go with him and found the Scourge(s) to be quite lacking. So with a buy 1, get one half off sale, I picked up TR Scourge.

In some ways, it is almost death by a thousand papercuts, in that it doesn't have any big problem, but several minor ones. However, far and away the worst was the bobble head issue. Some work with nail polish fixed that. The wrists are loose, but they do work. The alt mode having a bit of a gap was a problem at first, until I found that with some tolerances, getting it snapped in a certain way got it all together.

I wasn't expecting (and had never seen mentioned) that the disintegrator on the headmaster rises up, like Blurr, and that's quite neat. Overall I like the design, I like the execution, it looks good, so I'm happy.

Yeah, Scourge is the one TR figure besides Blurr I keep picking up. I love that his face is suitably thin despit ethe arms to the sides of it. Painted silver/white, they act as a nice backdrop that really defines it's shape.

I'm kind of worried now, as of all my TR figures only Galvatron has had issues with his Headmaster. Scourge and Blurr's are satisfyingly rock-solid, and I only find Skullsmasher rocks a little back and forth. But now I'm worried, with somany figures coming, my luck will run out.

Had to go to Target today and decided while there to quickly peruse the very small Transformers section. Lo and behold there were a half dozen various wave 1 TR figs, Scourge being among them. Figuring this would probably be the first and last time I'd ever see him on a store peg, I picked him up. Yeowzer, am I glad I did!

I like that you don't have to flat-panel the wings like the cardboard cape look that I had seen in so many pictures. You can avoid flattening them and keep the curves from the vehicle mode. Yes, they don't have quite the same wing spread if you do that, however it just looks so much more dynamic if you do. I also like that you don't have to remove the head for transformation, so you could argue that it's *not* a headmaster(even though it is). Although I do not like how loose that head connection is. Anyway, I just like that I have these options.

CHUG Scourge is now on the eBay selling deck. The TR next to the CHUG, there's just no comparison. Yeah, the argument can be made that the CHUG is a much more substantial figure with a healthy volume of plastic that the latter day figures seem to be avoiding. However, the TR really nails the 86 movie aesthetic that my CHUG movie display was missing. Definitely recommended.

I agree 100% about TR Scourge being superior to the original Generations version. In fact, I think the TR version is VASTLY superior

Wasn't going to pick Scourge up, as I prefer the Generations version, but the Walmart price drop made me give it a whirl. Now that he's in hand, I still prefer the Generations iteration.

As with my Highbrow, the head is crazy loose on Scourge and flops down like our cat. If you're going to have the head gimmick as the point of the line, is it too much to ask for the gimmick to actually WORK?!?

The legs on Fracas are really loose, too, making him a bit of a floppy mess.

The flaps on the bottom of alt mode are unsightly, but otherwise, it's ok.

Not thrilled with the figure as a whole, but with some better QC, it'd probably be much better.

If you have a TR Highbrow and steady hands, you can make Scourge look great with a parts swap and a silver sharpie.

I skipped CW Cyclonus until I heard about TR having Scourge and Galvatron. I was happy with their previous Generations figures but being able to upgrade all three made more sense so now I have two "generations" of the trio which is cool.

TR Scourge isn't as Geewunny as the Titanium version (which I also have) and as a figure it isn't nearly as good as the previous Generations Scourge. Between the bobblehead, the loose wrists, the head canon not locking into place, and the overall lack of paint on the robot mode makes the figure pretty drab. His arms fell apart three times the first time I transformed him. Still finicking with the vehicle mode to see how things are supposed to peg together. However I will give him points for the extra paint apps on the Titan Master itself, and for the added playability of the titan master ports on the vehicle mode.

He's not the worst figure I ever bought, but it's hard to justify him to anyone who doesn't have the rose tinted nostalgia goggles for team Galvatron. Without personal bias the figure is an okay space ship for fleet building with an atrocious robot mode, easily the weakest of the Decepticon deluxe class so far. And unless your a real sucker for the derpy G1 look, your much better off sticking to generations Scourge, or a G1 purist is better off with the titanium figure. Skullsmasher, Mindwipe, and Wolfwire are all better figures and make a better team, just as Sixshot is likely to be much better than Galvatron. A fickle collector looking for better design and solid engineering would lose nothing by skipping this guy.
