I just got this set in yesterday, and I am in love with eveything except Cyclonus (its just because of the proportions of the arms, and knee pads).

Why does Armada Thrust have a mouth?

Didn't expect to really care much about Roller, but he is probably the favorite in my set. Dead End was my second favorite TF Prime figure and I am excited to see here. A bit svellte due to the mold choice, but he works fine enough (Where is his hammer!!).

I was wishy washy when this dropped in my pile of loot, but once pics started to flow in I decided to pull the trigger, and man I am so glad I did !!!

It seems highly likely that the head was made to also be, or just to be, a G1 Conehead.

I just came to that realization as well. After-all the theme of Combiners wars is "re-use".

Just got mine today. I only had a little while to mess with them, but they all LOOK great. The paint apps are superb. However, they're very loose. Starscream especially. I can future the leg ball joints, but the leg panels are also really loose... and I can't seem to get Starscream's legs to peg to the jet part.

Sucks to hear that this isn't just mine. Screamer and Breakdown were the only ones I had any real issues keeping together, but the former could be a real nightmare sometimes. I think I know what part you're talking about, and mine has the same issue. They more rest where they should be than tab in, it's okay for display, mostly, but any light play can have his leg panels flopping around.

Okay, I've had time to mess around with them a bit more and to polish their balls with future.

STARSCREAM - I did manage to get Starscream's jet mode to hold together. I don't know why I couldn't get it last night. Maybe I couldn't see as well. I dunno. My Starscream fortunately doesn't have the bent rubber tail fins that your has. Unfortunately, he's still very loose in the knees and wings. He LOOKS nice, though.

BREAKDOWN - Very nice deco. Everything holds together fine. His only issue is that one of his knees is really loose.

ROLLER - No issues with him. Paint is gorgeous.

THRUST - Deco is a darn fine copy of Armada Thrust. Looking at the head and not the paint on the head... They are definitely going to make us some conehead jets (and regular seekers from Starscream). Also I can't get his arms to peg into his wings in his arm mode. That's my only complaint with him.

CYCLONUS - no issues with him. First thing I did was sand down the tabs so I wouldn't risk breaking him. He's just so much nicer looking than the CW ones. It's all the paint. He has a lot of paint.

GRAND GALVATRON - the torso's paint apps are so detailed. I love the toy colors of Galvatron (so hoping for one in TR) so this is right up my alley. I plan to have him posed battling Ultra Prime/Optimus Maximus/Grand Convoy.

All in all, despite the looseness (most of which is fixed with Future), he's probably my favorite CW/UW combiner so far. I'd love it if the new Transformers Club would just hire TT to do the toys and Pete to do the decos, and we'd be in good hands.

Really happy with him, paint is frickin' wonderful. This is one of the most fun of the oddball combiners if not THE most fun.

Annoyingly, my Breakdown is missing the silver paint application on his left knee. I'm guessing that trying to get a replacement from Robot Kingdom will probably be more hassle than it's worth.

Got my Grand Galvatron delivered earlier today. It seems the quality control of the figures is all over the place.

Ghost Starscream is a floppy mess. All his joints are loose and he doesn't like staying pegged together.

Roller is fantastic and makes me wish I had Rook... the only trouble is his Left Hand port can't hold a darn thing (the hole is too big). His Right Hand works just as you would think. I'm sure there's a way to fix that, but I'm not really sure how it'll work out considering how the cannon ports are shaped (if you look at it you know what I'm talking about). UPDATE: My ghetto fix is tearing off a piece of napkin and forcing it down the port with a peg.

Breakdown, Thrust, and Cyclonus are all solid and have no real issues.

    ----

This is the first time I've owned four of the five molds in this set (I own CW Cyclonus) so it's like getting completely new figures for the first time.

I've heard people before knock Offroad for being a terrible figure, but I don't see what the big deal is. In any case Breakdown owns this deco and I love that he can have his guns arm-mounted, which I didn't know about.

Thrust I love how you can arm-mount his cannons like his Armada toy was intended. If it wasn't for the fact he has a mouth instead of the flight mask look he'd be perfect, but I'm willing to let this go. Easily my favorite figure in the set.

Cyclonus is Cyclonus and my opinion is he's just like the CW one except in different colors. Not really blown away by it or disappointed, so more neutral; he was more like the price to pay for getting the other figures which I didn't mind.

Remember that picture a while back where Grand Galvatron has Titan Wars Galvatron's cannon? Yeah, that's totally happening; the sniper rifle 'variant' is junk next to that.

I've been on the fence about this guy for a long time. Anyone have any shots of him with the Perfect Combiner add-on pieces?

True, but while cool looking, that translucent plastic scares the hell out of me.

Deciding which hands and feet to give him. Which ones work the best stylistically speaking?

I like the shiny purple on the retail version (didn't get him, but appreciated him on the shelf for a minute or so). This guy's indigo looks cool too, and the torso works way better in grey in my opinion.

Been trying to hold off, but after seeing there were only 3 left on BBTS, and knowing that if I didn't buy it now, I'd end up buying it a year later for twice as much, I've finally ordered it. This'll be my first CW/UW set, and I'm really excited to check it out
