Mine came with 2 left boobs. But still much better than a few I know that came with broken parts and 2 left hands or 2 left null rays etc.... Thankfully he still can transform
Horizontal hinges on the front of the wing assemblies are stiff. I mean feel like something might crack stiff, Anyone else get this? Maybe it's been discussed, but work is manic at the moment and my brain is not working. Other than that, i appear to have no issues at all.
Nope. It is hardly noticeable. Besides, it did not hamper transformation. I am not going to give my seller a hard time as he had to deal with other customers with even more severe QC issues.
I wonder if the factory would have noticed the shoulder misassembly if Ramjet was packaged in jet mode. It's possible they would have just ignored it jammed it in the tray anyway.
Lol, exactly. Imagine the thousands of hours it would take to disassemble the shoulders and replace with proper ones.
I've been out of the loop on this thread for quite a while. So there's qc issues with MP Ramjet?? What is the full list of problems? Man, what's going on with Takara lately?? Are they TRYING to push fans to buy Toyworld's MP Ramjet or do we need to wait for a 2nd run with improvements? I didn't get into this hobby to be a DIY guy sheesh.
Got mine on Monday from TCP and the box was in perfect condition; was gonna leave the figure MISB. After reading the QC issues, decided to open it today and of course with my crappy luck got one with the misassembled shoulders. The faction symbol on the wing of the left leg (robot facing side) was also scratched like some animal clawed it... weird. The box and clamshell were double-taped, supposedly a sign that it was opened for additional QC check... so much for that theory. But at least all parts were present and correct L/R orientation. I've only removed pins once: swapping out MP Bumblebee's hands. Those pins were huge and really easy to remove. But thanks to ninge's awesome pics I decided to brave it. I would've never guessed about the glued screw covers w/o those pics. Scariest 30 minutes, having to hammer pins out of a brand new $180 figure but all went well. No damage after the swap and transformed it to jet mode w/o any issues with all the tabs coming together as expected. Also, my pins needed to be hammered from the outside in with the rough pin tip on the inside between the two boobs where the cockpit sits. Praying never having to do that again. If it wasn't for the damn scarcity of this thing it would've gone straight back for an exchange. Happy for those that got perfect figures, but totally sympathize with others that got a crappy one like I did. At least the shoulders are fixable with some courage. Thanks again to ninge's awesome photo tutorial. That should be moved to the first post or to a new thread. I would've never found it had I not followed these threads the past few days.
Just transformed him for the first time to plane mode and darn his alt mode is really nice. My favorite seeker.
Thanks for the shoulder mount swapping guide. Might need this when I get this in next week. No way am I skipping this release.
Ramjet is on his way.... Feelings of - joy-dread-worry-excitement-fear... Damn this is the first time I have had so many mixed emotions about a figure
