Was in China for business last week and found this assortment. Picked up the Megatron and Starscream. There was also Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Grimlock. Was very happy with them as they're only about $13 US and are much larger than a typical deluxe. They're just upscaled Legends figures, but are still very fun if not slightly hollow feeling. Bot Mode: Vehicle mode: Cannot quite call him a tank, more of a tank-destroyer. Overall very happy with him. A little hollow feeling, but nice articulation and he's a big grey Megatron with a nice big gun, just like he should be.
These are the 2015 Generations GDO Cyber Series toys, released in the middle of last year. See Transformers Wiki: Transformers: Generations - "GDO" Cyber Series figures for more
Well crap, you should have seen the display at TRU, you'd have thought they were brand new. If someone would delete the threads I'd be very appreciative.
Actually this thread can stay, as far as I know there isn't a preexisting review thread for Cyber Battallion Megatron, I'll just rename this and merge later if I find an older thread. Thanks for posting!
Yes, I wasn't in anyway condemning the post just trying to add some more info! It's nice to see some more pictures as very few of these have made them into the hands of fans!
Seems like this and the other Cyber Battalion toys could have been great for 'cheap' markets in the US like Big Lots or Family Dollar. (and this guy's got knees!)
Can the cannon be mounted on either arm? This almost looks like it would be a great new design for Galvatron, with a few minor things changed like the gun and head.... +-MWG-+
Haha... you won't understand why, but I think that is an awesome idea and someone needs to talk to Hasbro about it.
Got one the other week. Simple, chunky and decently articulated. I like it! With thigh and upper arm swivel, he would be perfect (for what it is).
I had forgotten about these. If they were ever released stateside for a reasonable price, I would definitely pick one up. Don't think it's worth the $30 or whatever BBTS was charging back when. Megatron always looked like the winner of the bunch though. Thanks for the pics
