Here we go again, another MP release and another release. I will not delve deep into a review here as alot of it has already been pointed out in the MP Tracks (MP25) review.

But allow me to point out some differences between Tracks and Road Rage aside of the different head sculpt.
The upper chest, the upper arms and the thighs have been remolded to slender curves akin of a female attribute to for Road rage. Unlike Lambor and Alert where the remold was very minor in some places, Road Rage remold is rather extensive to differentiate her between Tracks.

And the head sculpt looked absolutely excellent here. The contour of her face pops out and I would say this is one of the best head sculpt in the MP line.

Another thing I would like to point out is that her joints are pretty loose compared to Tracks. One thing I noticed is that he mushroom peg at her backpack tend to pop out alot and sometimes it frustrates me because everytime I try to transform her, the backpack just comes out. I never experienced this with Tracks. Also, her right arm does the same thing, popping out every now and them.

Now, here is something that frustrates me the most. Her weapon, Looks beefy, looks powerful, right? But it does not stay securely in her hands!

Unlike all major MP figures where there is a grove that allows the tab on their weapons to peg in securely, Road rage's weapon applies a different approach, where it pegs on top of the hole which is also an opening for the mushroom peg. On my piece, it is loose as hell and will come off if I were to just pick her up. And her head does not click into position like Tracks in Bot mode, It just hands there, *shrugs* I hope this is only an isolated incident.

And finally, the paint. Which is not much really. She is molded in red plastic and there are extremely minimal paint on her (except the hood, where the red is painted on top of the clear plastic). So, if you are expecting Tracks level of paint quality, you will be sorely disappointed. Somehow, the bare red plastic makes here very....bland.

Overall, a good addition to the MP line and the first female MP figure. The only thing that keeps me away from giving it a higher accolade is the looseness of the toy. It just feel floppy in places and unlike Tracks which was a solid in every way.

Buy it? Yes but take note of my points I raised and you should be ok.

One of the few times I've had almost instant buyers remorse.

I didn't pay much for her, so I'm not having buyer's remorse, but man... I expected a lot more.

Trying to pull off a female transformer look using MP Tracks plus those remolded bits amazingly didn't work.

TC can your Tracks, with the KFC hands, hold RR's gun?

I'm of exactly the opposite opinion.

I just wish she was MORE G1. Would've preferred her face-plate face and colours more akin to the original release of the toy. The Animated-inspired colour-scheme and gave is a nice homage and I'm usually of the "more Animated everywhere" opinion, but I usually prefer G1-accuracy. I guess she's a hypothetical Sunbow universe Roadrage.

She looks like Lightning McQueen :(

Not very exciting about getting her.

    Glad I canceled.

The question now is do i get Tracks instead (I've had two previous versions and hated his head every time- although this sculpt is the best yet)- or am I pretty much passing on this mold, unless we get a great black one with face mask down the line.

Them not painting her may be a warning sign about future releases in the line. :(

Fantastic pics as always, TC! Really disappointing to hear about her floppiness and bare paint, but your shots really bring her to life.

I don't have much hope for Ironhide and Ratchet being painted. I feel certain they'll be mostly bare plastic. I'm fine with that, though, as they're larger figures and most of the larger figures in the line have less paint coverage than the carbots (Wheeljack and Roadrage not withstanding). One of the magazine shots of Hot Rod pretty much confirms he's mostly bare plastic as well with the exception of his hood/chest and some other details like bits around his wrists and some of the darker red on his cod piece.

I'm glad I cancelled my preorder for this.

I just don't like Tracks enough to own the mold again.

Same. I cancelled as well. Tracks really let me down because it could have been so much more. Now I am darn worried about Ironhide.

Thank you TC for your pixs & no nonsense review. Your opinions are very frank and you don't sugarcoat them. :)

It's kinda disheartening to read & see Roadrage is unpainted. Tracks impressed me very much & I have thoughts of double dipping on this mold but now it's a pass for me.

Just feel like an overpriced Generations figure that's all..

Same here. I wish I would have just stuck with Road Rage and never bought Tracks as I like what was done with her. There are just some things with this mold I genuinely don't like.

Sorry you got a lemon, OP. Hopefully this is an isolated case.

Looks like a nice figure, would've preferred a bit more remolding on the limbs but that's okay. A faceplate would've been my choice, but I'm sure some 3rd-party is working on it.

Just have a little patience and be gentle, it has a square peg that slots in where there is a slot right behind her hand. Took me a few tries to line it up correctly, but mine stays in great.

I also noticed the looseness of the figure, was the neck pivot re-configured from Tracks to where it pivots all the way forward? Just trying to get confirmation on that.

I still like it, but this is definitely a more finicky mold for an MP. Especially when Transforming Red BB and Clampdown right after her which are a lot more solid.

I have to say, I don't think I've ever heard such universal dislike for a figure in all my years of collecting. Tracks is an amazing Masterpiece, and where Roadrage may not be quite as good, I still think she'll make a hell of a great addition to the family. Can't wait!!

"Sigh"...a candy-apple red paint job would have worked wonders for this figure....
