I see. That's one of the reasons I dislike the return to ratchet joints, to be honest. Makes it very difficult to pose.

I did, however, take a second look at his knees and realized that they're not as flimsy as they seemed on first look. I was faulted by the same thing that others were, not realizing there was a second joint to move there. In my defense, it was pretty hard to move...

I think I may just try to exchange it at some point, but thank you. I've never done the Future fix yet, so I'd rather test it out on a junker first or something.

 

No problem,future is amazing tho and definitely fixes the figures up,altho we shouldnt have to fix our own figures. Good luck on the exchange,hopefully you wont get another lemon like I did  

 

My bad to resurrect this thread, but I finally got to open up Onslaught and I'm not going to move him too much because of the fears of him being loose and junk. I might use the guns he has now has Bruticus' rifle, if not I'll do something.

 

Onslaught is incredibly cool looking in robot mode. The remolded chest, head and shoulders really add to his look. The ability to fold his arms will never stop being a cool feature, not really just for this toy but its mold mates. I like the blue and brown along with the addition of heel spurs. Onslaught just really feels like Onslaught to me.

Vehicle mode is something. I am not quite sure what to call it, but it serves its purpose as a large military vehicle. Looking at those windows, the Combaticons are still doing their thing and razing scale. Well, they have a dune buggy/Humvee type thing taller than a tank... good old Combaticons.  

There are a few problems here, though. The legs on mine are really hard to set into place, and sometimes the plastic flexes in a very uncomfortable way during transformation. Onslaught has to sacrifice his back cannons to wield a weapon, which is unfortunate.

 

See now, I'm going to go ahead and state an uncommon opinion: I am super happy that he does that. With G1 Onslaught it always bugged me he had these big-ass cannons... that he effectively couldn't wield in robot mode.

Surprisingly enough, I think the PCC wannabe-Onslaught (Bombshock?) had the best solution... the cannons were on his back, but the backpack could move so that he can use them in robot mode. A decent solution like that is great, but I'd prefer removeable guns to stationary ones any day.

 

I have 4 of the 5 Warbotron Bruticus figures, but I haven't been able to find a WB Fierce Attack/WK Onslaught for anything less than an outrage price. The 4 Warbotron limbs have been hanging out with Combiner Wars Onslaught.

Through complete coincidence, Warbotron's Air Burst (Blast-Off) fits perfectly on Onslaught's truck mode. The scale is pretty good, too.



I didn't want to post this in the Fan Mode or Hidden Features thread, because this is pure coincidence.

But the fit is PERFECT. The space shuttle thrusters fit perfectly into those indented boxes on the truck roof (Onslaught's shins). And, the foot piece of Air Burst fits juuuuuuust right against the box that holds Bruticus' head. It's propped up perfectly.

If it wasn't complete coincidence, I'd say CW Onslaught was made to hold WB Air Burst in vehicle mode.

 

I got this guy a couple months ago and I think he's wonderful, My only....ONLY problem i have with him is his legs SUCK, They either leaning in too close to each other or out wide basically doing the splits. LOL!
