TFW Member Steamshield has a fix for the leaning issue available on Shapeways, they work perfectly.

I got them in both Hot Spot and Onslaught and they work at stopping the leaning and still allow normal leg movement. Dismantling Hot Spot is the easier of the two, to install them, but as long as you have smaller precision screw drivers, Onslaught isn't to difficult to dismantle.

    Thanks!
The head just has added wear. Just enough to make a difference.

Made 'em. I think the PE ones look like orthopedic shoes, so I decided to make some from Bionicle pieces and styrene, with parts from the original H/F/G pieces.
These have ball-jointed ankles and a toe hinge.

I finally got this guy put together sans Shockwave after I (grudgingly) picked up Blast Off. Overall, this is a really impressive version of Bruticus that outshines the previous attempts by Hasbro to update the Combaticons.

Onslaught: The design is great for Onslaught, but the execution has left me somewhat disappointed. This guy feels very cheap and brittle, and something about the plastic quality looks "off" compared to the rest of the Combaticons, and even the other CW figures I've picked up. The lack of a personal gun combined with the pathetic back cannons inherited from Hot Spot really hold this figure back from being great. I am using a KO G1 Abominus gun as his rifle at the moment, but it does not make up for the lack of Onslaught's sidearm. 6/10

Blast Off: Well, it's Slingshot painted brown and purple and it doesn't look bad. I still don't know why they didn't use the Firefly headsculpt for this figure or even a new headsculpt but it looks okay. I was originally planning on holding out for the Takara set, but the flying potato combined with the weird paint apps inspired me to settle for this jet, and I saved $50 to boot. If Hasbro releases the Blast Off mold with a better paint job, this figure is getting replaced but for now he's acceptable. 5/10

Vortex: I love this figure! We all knew Alpha Bravo was Vortex in autobot paint, and the mold shines with this paint job. I've heard a lot of complaints about the yellow missiles, but it matches the G1 toy and in person it looks great. The only complaint I would make about this guy is I wish they had remolded the cockpit and I wish they'd gone with 4 blades like the Takara version. 8.5/10

Swindle: Awesome! I've reviewed this figure before, but he is a must have. The only flaws I'd point out are the lack of a smirk, the visible fists in vehicle mode, and the missing giant cannon of the original toy. All sad oversights, but overall a must-have figure. 9/10

Brawl: This guy got so much shit on the boards that I was tempted to avoid him, but I have to say I honestly really like him. The headsculpt is fantastic. The arms and the waist were the biggest complaints I've heard about this figure, but positioning Brawl's shoulders down makes his arms look less dippy and the waist on my copy holds fine. I wish he had his cannons (The HFGs don't cut it, sorry), a greener paint job, and some better proportions but overall he is a solid toy. 7/10

Bruticus: As a combined figure, these guys are excellent. The torso mode is stable and able to hold some decent poses and with a little bit of tinkering the hollow look of the official transformation is easily fixed. The back cannons are way too small and are the main flaw holding this figure back from being great, but overall he's the best Bruticus figure we have gotten from HasTak. As many have mentioned, the PE set easily fixes the shitty HFGs and I plan to pick up a set alongside Shockwave.
    8.5/10

Still trying to nail down a Shockwave for my set.

I'm also sorely disappointed in Brawl. I'm on my second one now, because the legs on my first one didn't hold together for shit, and my second one is even worse. Will not stay together at all. And that waist, man...

My second Swindle is thankfully better than my first, but his canopy in vehicle mode is seriously warped for some reason. It bows in at the hinge.

Man, design and QC has really nosedived in recent years...

Yeah, it's crazy to mess with Classics Hound or the old seeker mold and think they were the same price point.

Back on topic, I'm actually relieved to hear that my Brawl isn't the only one with the leg issue. And I'm also taking this as a sign not to bother buying a new one.

Oh, and "flying potato." Priceless. Main reason I went Hasbro, too. Close enough. If I ever see a super cheap Takara set I'll grab it for Vortex.

Just some fun display options for Blast Off. (I didn't see a UW Bruticus thread.) His combiner peg has a 5mm hole in it, which can be used as a display stand with his HFG.

And I just thought he looked cool chilling out on the back of Onslaught in vehicle mode. Makes it look like the back of Onslaught is actually *for* something.

I completely agree, which is why I'm using the big guns that came with my CW leader seekers instead. Please excuse photo quality. Also need another black back gun to replace the blue one....
