Just got mine today! Love the figure, but the backpack is more noticeable for me than it was with Arcee. Likely because it clashes more with her ninja aesthetics. The Sai are wonderful, and I love that she comes with all of Arcee's weapons despite Slipstream lacking Windblade's sword.
It's quite surprising how a mold that is so distinctively Arcee can work so well for Nightbird. The articulation this mold offers really helps with ninja poses and the head sculpt is fantastic. The silver paint makes the figure shine. Best of the 3 Con fembots.
Damn it...now I have a sudden need for this toy. I guess she's really one of those flimsy G1 throwaway character ideas which turned gold after decades ; ergo, a new good toy.
I was interested in getting her when she was first announced. Got my POL today and I have to say, in hand, she's even more impressive! She just looks great just about doing anything.
I've ordered one. It's the first iteration of this mold for me (it is a bit too small for Arcee in my book but for Nightbird, which is a bit shorter than a car bot, can work even with MPs) but your pics and reviews won me I'll write my impressions as soon as she's here.
I am planning to give the guns to the Titan Hunter Arcee as they fit her color scheme. That and "Ninjas" generally don't "carry".
This figure is badass. I cut out the stoppers in the hands so she can hold her stuff properly and now she's damn-near perfect. Wish the legs had more outward movement, and th neck doesn't tab in securely. (though that may be me messing up) Otherwise, perfect. Articulation is excellent.
