So I got the takara decepticon fembots a bit sooner than i thought i would. Blackarachnia isn't the best of the 3 but I don't think she's bad. The new parts are great. The head is spot on, the new beast head looks good in beast mode and the mandibles/chest may look weird in beast mode they have the spider legs molded in on both sides and are painted in on both sides, and the waist isn't as bad as pictures mad it out to be. The only negatives are the same as the original, a hole in the chest, curling iron arms, the the robot legs still kinda suck. Sorry if the pictures aren't the best. I do seem to be having a bit of trouble with getting the beast mode together though. It won't fold up properly. I checked with animated Blackaracknia and nothing's missassembled but to parts are clashing with each other .
I deffinitely think painting the inside of the mandiboobs with silver or gold and the socket parts in black will help them stand out and help the colour balance. I also may try and turn her arms into claws. I'm pretty excited to have a Blackarachnia coming that actually kinda looks like her season 1-2 self. He... already gave them.

Works great in that Generations "a percentage of deviation allowed" way. Even though I have this being shipped to me as I write, I'm still hoping a new-mold version is coming sooner or later, if for no other reason but to not be the height of an Animated deluxe toy among BW and Generations BW toys.
How will the mandiboobs look if flipped over in beast mode. Instead of having them concave, flip them so they're convex. That'd get rid of the visible balljoint, and make them look less bowl-like.
Mine will be here Friday. I am really looking forward to it! Now the only decision to make is whether or not to mod it similar to the custom posted earlier or keep it stock. Decisions, decisions...
This looks great and I can't wait to get mine. Kinda nervous about how she looks with Silverbolt, though.
She's a bit too tall and Silverbolt just needs a new toy. Added some new photos with some slightly better lighting and some of the side so you can see the legs.
Just put this baby in my POL. I'd love to see a new Silverbolt to compliment her. I want a Blackarachnia to put with my mixed 3P/MP shelf and I can't decide if I like this one or the TFA more at the moment. Either way this is probably the only Beast Wars update we will get of Blackarachnia until they do an MP.
(ugh, she's looking the wrong way, how did I miss that?) I'm going to be honest and say that this figure completely scratches my itch for a Generations Blackarachnia. The head-sculpt is just beyond perfect and the color scheme is just so right. I'm so happy with this figure, its hard to believe that it used to be an Animated (outside of its above-average height, which is normal for Animated) because aesthetically they've made it work so well. I'm in love with this figure!
