What's in the box? It's Override & Runabout! If you've got Blackout or Rodimus you know what you're getting with this but I'll answer the two obvious questions! Runabout works well in car mode and armour mode: he attached to my original wave 2 Motormaster and passed the "hold the robot chest down and shake" test so there's something going on there with subtle remoulding His app sticker comes off easy, no indent underneath, but I needed to clean some adhesive off afterwards I almost feel he could have do with a bright red spoiler instead of grey! But the grey is better than the blue he was originally shown with and also darker than in the publicity photos.
He looks better than Blackjack, imo. If I knew for sure Takara would release a Runamuk repaint, I would have gotten Runabout. Only thing I dont like, as other have said, is that he has way too many Con logos.
I'm enjoying Runabout the more I play with it. They've absolutely nailed the deco with the questionable exception of having 2 individual red eyes, like the cartoon and TFCC version, rather than a full visor, like the original toy. Runamuck asap please! And a yellow deco as Bumblebee!
He's in my POL at BBTS, just waiting for a few more TF's to drop, like Slipstream and Nightbird, before I get them all shipped to me. Very glad to see he's a quality build, I've been looking forward to him and pre-ordered the first day they popped up, final deco unseen.
Elastic bands, preferably the clear ones which come with TFs. Loop one end round the bottom of the backpack's hinge. Pull the sides of the band up the backpack, over the top in the grooves formed from the sloped sides, then down the back pack looping one end under the nose of the car eroding the outer sides of the two bits that slightly protrude. Slip the spoiler under both stretches of elastic band down the rear of the backpack, with the tabs facing out. Pull the band at least inside the tabs and preferably down the groove between the spoilers and the shaft down the middle.
If it weren't for the TFCC version, I would be all over this and praying for a Runamuck, but as it is I'm content with my Blackjack and just appreciating this from afar. Looks pretty sweet though.
Runabout is notable for somewhat resembling G1 Menasor's chest plate color wise. A good pairing with CW/Unite Warriors Menasor.
Got my POL today. Runabout is very awesome. Of course today they'd have to announce that Runamuck is going to be expensive and difficult to get. That's life I suppose. Mine also has some really tight joints, which is nice.
