Right...the time of the month again, another MP release.
I usually shudder in all the repaints that came my way, even Exhaust.

Honestly speaking, I had very little expectations on MP18B. But boy, how wrong I was. He is absolutely gorgeous and fabulous.

Even he is basically a repaint usinfgthe MP17 mold aka Prowl, I cant help but to be attracted with the strong color palette and also how well the blue shines without being too distracting.

Now, on with the pictures-

One thing I want to say is that the car mode is beautiful. Mine came without any paint blemises and I am so happy the blue and silver turned out as it should be,

Robot mode looks the way it should be and the homage to the G1 ty carried well into the MP line.













Conclusion, I dont know really. Unless you are a completist, this is a must but I am not. But the blue draws to me in a mesmerizing sort of way. I had my reservations for this initially but I glad I stuck to my decision, this is one of the BEST repaint of the Prowl mold and if TakaraTomy can keep a consistent control of the paint apps here, I am sure future repaints is a sure thing for me.

 

That's sweet! Wish I didn't cancel my preorder ah well maybe they will ko it.By the way does it have a 280z symbol or Fairlady sticker? Repro labels maybe?

 

That looks beautiful. Next door neighbor used to own a blue and silver Fairlady, only thing that is off is the silver actually carried over to the top of the doors. But I think this looks better in robot mode being one color on the door.

 

I too dislike repaints, and I am not exactly the biggest fan of this mold, but that color palette is just too striking so I'll be keeping the order.

I am glad that I kept my preorder. The figure is going right next to the Diaclone version.  

 

I've been expecting the paint to be a metallic blue but I guess I've been staring at the MP Tracks prototypes for so long I got them mixed up.

I wasn't a big fan of MP Prowl, so I had no interest in more variations of the same base mold, but this one is strongly tempting.

 

I didn't collect MP but I pre-ordered this figure as soon as I could. I've always wanted this Bluestreak. Now I've got to figure out what other MP I want to display him with and how I'm going to afford them.

 

Simple & straight forward review plus nice pixs as always.

Oh well, I'll have to try and paint match the silver on a plain white sticker or something...the sticker I used to cover exhausts decal works well imo

Wow.. need to get two! Blue is my fave colour and that beautiful paint job just seals the deal. Excellent!

 

so glad I didn't cancel my preorder. It hasn't hit my pile of loot yet, but I'm considering just shipping as soon as it does even though I'm waiting on a few other things. It just looks so good!

And it'll be the second figure in hand for my "Masterpiece odd recolors" shelf.
