Yes, Asia gest stuff much faster, and also we get the special coins that come with the MPs/  

 

Just got him and Silverstreak in. Love them both. No flaws.

I accidentally pulled too hard when separating his feet and broke the connector tab. Thankfully it isn't needed to keep the back end together.

 

i usually take my pictures during the night and usually in a light tent. I rarely take out my figures to photoshoot during the day.

So to repeat what I meant, I am not ignoring you. Just cant do it during the day as I am at work. Perhaps I should have just respond to you, my bad.

For what its worth, here is him without the fancy smancy setup on my table.

 

My wife just texted me that Bluestreak arrived in the mail. What a glorious day, can't wait to have it home.


Edit: Hours later. Now that I have it in hand, I'm glad to say the blue paint IS in fact a metallic blue. In some pics online, it sometimes appeared like a shinny solid blue.

Gotta say, lately I was really starting to get repaint fatigue. Maybe it's just because I felt nothing for G2 Bumblebee, despite MP-21 being my favourite figure of all time. Maybe it's the crazy amount I ended up spending on Sunstorm, which kinda left a sour taste in my mouth (although I do really like him). Was even thinking of just selling MP-18B as soon as I got it, maybe thin down this retroactive G1 herd.

Opened the box, changed my mind!





This is a gorgeous repaint. The MP-17 face sculpt looks different enough in this lighter silver to really differentiate him from Prowl. The paint is beautiful, although the silver isn't as nice and sparkly as the silver they used on Silverstreak.

Also worth mentioning that the unpainted blue plastic also looks really nice. His hands and the inside of his legs have a slight sparkle to them, despite being bare ABS.

Obviously by this point we all know the Datsun mould can't hold its gun properly for shit   Anyway, I'm really glad to finally own a Datsun where I can keep him wearing his gigantic launchers.

I really like Blue Bluestreak. It is just as good as the other Datsuns which is a bit of a cop out, but it is impossible to choose which is best as all of them are wonderful.

After 30 years though, it is really nice to finally have a Blue Bluestreak, especially one where they have made a bit of effort to maintain such a degree of accuracy.

I agree..its cool to finally see one..but actually seeing it, and knowing "bluestreak" for almost 40 years now this one just looks off. I dont look at it and think bluestreak.

I think it may have abeen cooler to get a different head and make it a con in this color.

If I were to get this..I could totally see me putting Cobra commanders head on it, with a cobra hood decal, and a window decal saying "commander" across the top of the windshield.

It looks nice..but even though its blue..its just not bluestreak to me.

 

Finally got my Bluestreak in.

First thing I noticed when taking him out of the bubble was:

he had some hairline scratches all over his back windows, permanent fingerprints on the windshield, some kind of weird smudges on both sides of the hood. my guess the paint was still wet when it was packaged.

Also the right side of the bumper and hood corner were it meets the bumper area looks a little warped from heat. I noticed in that department, i'm not the only one with that particular issue. I noticed some of the other posters here have the same issue judging by what i see in their photos.

After all those issues I still very much love this guy. the alt mode is so damned beautiful in this paint scheme. love the metalic blue paint flake. I wish the hood could have been done up in a similar fashion but it's fine.  

also not too thrilled about the autobot tampoed on the hood. could have done without it. meh. semantics.

I absolutely cannot WAIT to see what Reprolabels has in store for him.  

Haven't transformed him yet, still oodeling the nissan mode. mmmmm

Thnking about painting his eyes YELLOW, not sure yet. XD

Diaclone is a factionless bunch piloted by Diaclones. I'd rather all these Diaclone inspired repaints come with newer more up-to-date Microman-styled Diaclone Pilots.  

 

In my collection, this and Exhaust I want as logo-less Diaclone MPs so I am in agreement.

I wish he didn't have MP Prowl's hips though so Reprolabels would work bc I really want those green lightning labels....

 

FINE. How about yellow eyes, a sticker sheet and a Diaclone driver that I can throw away?

MP-18B - Bluestreak

 

Just received my Bluestreak from toy dojo! Very happy, awesome figure and I can't believe how fast TD shipped it! Ordered Friday and received it today.

Amazing

 

He really does look like The Chosen Prime's Mascot.  

 

Got mine yesterday and finally got around to messing with him. Paint smudge right on the silver hood on the right side. I can't live with that, but the biggest problem is the severely loose right leg and foot. It's just real floppy. Never have owned a MP that is so floppy.

 

Got mine in today from BBTS. He had a very faint smudge on his hood but it's not enough for me to ask for an exchange. His joints though were SUPER TIGHT. There were a few spots I was afraid I might break something. Mainly folding down the panels with the side mirrors and folding the lower legs out and down from car mode.

However, after I got him in robot mode, this guy is awesome! I know that's an overused phrase but it's true. The blue really pops. I was a bit discouraged that he used more of the Prowl mold but the blue and the inclusion of the added launchers help to differentiate him from Prowl. Bluestreak looks so good on my shelf too with Prowl, Sideswipe, and Wheeljack. So much so, that I've decided to forgo trying to get the silver and black version and making MP-18B my definitive MP Bluestreak.

 

Got Bluestreak a few days ago... A couple qc issues...smudges on the hood paint..and a blob of glue on the trunk area below the window... Was able to srape it off.. But I may have to try buffing the area to blend in better..due to the raw plastic finish it is hard to see it after a foot away or so... Everything else is great! Always like the Datsun alt mode. So to have another in this sweet factory 2 tone is welcomed. Joints are firm to tight which is a plus to make up for the blemishes it has... Would like to label this one with a toy based decal set since there is no need for a cartoon simplified look. See what happens. Glad this finally happened as official product!

 

I received my Bluestreak earlier today, and after salivating over the vehicle mode pics I must say I really like the bot mode in hand. There's just something about that blue paint that I absolutely love, and the face sculpt is my favorite of the 3 Datsuns.

I have Exhaust on the way from Anime Export and Road Rage on preorder with HLJ so I'll have a nice Diaclone display shaping up soon.
