I know this is far from the newest Titans Return figure, but I recently got him on a clearance sale (along with Mirage and PC Optimus) and I don't find him to be that bad. Perhaps it's the low price, or that I don't really have any attachments to Sunstreaker. Also by contrast, mine has very tight joints, more than Breakdown.

I am surprised that for all the pictures in this thread, no one has the intake on his back right. It doesn't plug into the hole under the roof, on the sides of the intakes are grooves that fit the slot on the wheelwell, the intake slides right on and sits flush against his back. Deliberate tooling, like the grooves and slot for the roof to attach the intakes in vehicle mode.

I also did a fair amount of weapon swapping and his gun went to Hound, while he got Legends Seeker guns, which I put into the underside of the fists, kind of like Tonfas which emulate the hand/missile switch the original toy had. (Or Piledrivers, given that Sunstreaker and Sideswipe had their profiles swapped)

 

Interesting. I'll have to try that on Breakdown. The peg hole under the roof is still useful for the intakes to be a jetpack (intakes facing down, of course).

 

I use mine as a Hunter O'Nion figure, with a headcanon that he got recovered from Sunstreaker and given his own body.

 

I got a lot of guns from Renderform recently and one was a yellow version of the gun from his Mach Alert upgrade kit. It's based in the gun that comes with G1 Sideswipe and Red Alert, but colored yellow.

So since Combiner Wars Sunstreaker is missing any real gun in robot mode...
