I totally read that as referring to Optimus Maximus, and not Mirage specifically. Which would also mean that OM would have cloaking capability, when Mirage is a limb.

Now as to whether the six minute timer is Mirage's or OM's, I'm not certain.

I grabbed Mirage with absolutely no intention of picking up the rest of the wave or either Optimus; I'm fine with him stand-alone. I think a lot of people will buy that way, especially with the non-traditional combiner teams. I will be considering if I want to round out some jumbled foursome to match up with Skylynx, but if not enough pieces float my boat, I won't force it.

 

Yeah, I'm considering Mirage and Ironhide. But I've got Classics Mirage so probably going to skip this one, but may as well get Ironhide anyway.

 

I really love the alt mode on him. Probably enough to bump off OG Classics one.

 

Anyone found a way to give this guy (or Classics Mirage) a shoulder cannon?

 

Yep. Swap the arms by popping them off the ball joint. The missile is from generations sunstreaker.

 

Has anyone else had an issue with his head being so freaking tight on the ball joint? I can't even get him to turn his head! The plastic is thin and weak feeling, and I'm afraid I'll snap it if I twist it too hard.

Any suggestions on a fix?

 

All these CW figures need is a lil' love, that's all. ....and HOW have I NOT seen anyone do something like this yet?
After a little trimming of the piece that ejects it, it snaps in perfectly!

G1 Sideswipe eh? I'm not exactly for sacrificing a G1 toy for this guy...

Still a very cool mod tho. I'm actually planning on using the shoulder rockets that came with MP Prowl, myself.

Yeah the one thing that I dislike about Classics Mirage (apart from his skinniness but even that isn't a huge detractor) is his poor weaprony. Don't like the weird crossbow thing made from the front of the car, and while it's great that he's kibble free it means there's no way to mount a shoulder cannon.

 

I wouldn't have either....but I snapped the connecter bracket off the launcher some time ago, so it was just sitting useless in my junk parts box.

So turning it into this was a win win.

 

I would have to agree with one other poster on here, Mirage is much BETTER in person! The blue and white are bright and catches your eye in a sec! Prowl and Mirage is 1st and 2nd out of this wave and then Ironhide and then Sunstreaker. Mirage does need his shoulder cannon and better weapon thats for sure, which I have some ideas.

I would like to see this mold re-color into Crasher from the Go-Bots!!!

Kinda cool that a new Prowl figure is part of the Combiner Wars series and easy to find in stores or whatever.

The only Prowl figure I ever had was when I was a little kid back in the day the early 1980s the very first Prowl figure of G1 1980s Transformers.

Loved those hard silver plastic weapons back then but they broke easily lol.

 

OMG. He's now even closer to how I want him to look.

Alternatively you can probably use Classics Hotrod's gun.
