I assumed that there was already a thread for him, so here's a pictorial review of him. Even though most people can't stand Energon Ironhide, I thought he had a cool look to him. Heck, this figure could easily be the "grown up" version of Ironhide.
A lot of customizers turned the Captain America crossover figure into Roadbuster. This looks like the exact opposite, except less interesting. Maybe it's just my dislike of the mold itself, but this looks a bit too gaudy for me. Question- did they correct the saggy shoulders of the original release, or is it still loose?
I didn't like the mold at first, but I've learned to like it. My biggest beef was the weapons not fitting properly, but Cloud Roadbuster doesn't seem to be as loose. The shoulders are still loose. Also my Generations Roadbuster has two left ankles, so he doesn't peg together well in vehicle mode. I ordered another Gen RB on Amazon for $15, so hopefully his ankles won't be messed up. I'll enjoy having the extra weapons too.. I don't know what you're talking about.
Not my taste for a deco but it's interesting. Also. I really like this mold and don't really get the hate it gets.
When I got it and the mold turns out to be a floppy POS, I think I can see it. Probably one of those YMMV things, but for me, actually having it in hand made me hate it even more. The look of the alt mode, the shoulders, the hinderances in articulation, weapons that don't like to sit in their holes well...yeah man, just a horrid, horrid mold. Which is a shame because when the first pictures of Cloud Roadbuster came out I liked them...but then I remembered the mold sucks donkey balls and I just won't bother with it again.
Must definitely be a YMMV thing because my shoulders while being delicate aren't floppy. And only a couple holes are on the loose side, which luckily are the top shoulder mounts. Now the leg limitations suck but I can get around most of them. Plus the transformation is simple but works for me. So yeah, I like this guy. Also scratched off the green eye paint and used a green sharpie to give me some cool green light piping.
