    One word: Amazing.

I'm in love with this figure, I've been playing with it for the past week or two now. I dig everything about him, even Ambus. So far, this is the top-tier for me when it comes to Combiner Wars figures to date. Maybe Classics/Generations in total.

Yep did it before I read the threads to see what it was, you can take it down to the very bottom it won't affect anything else.

I was going to post my Magnus I did some cosmetic things aside from the tab cutting.

If you can't get excited about some part of this figure I am not sure what you are expecting out of a toy.

Ultra Magnus remains one of, if not THE, best figures of the year.

Of course he has share of flaws, but whatever. He's an all-around figure that looks great with the rest of my Classics figures. My only hope is to get an Optimus of equal size now to match the updated Leader class Megatron, and Magnus.

Went back and re read tfxprotector's post. Yeah, mine isn't stressed there but it IS stressed quite badly in fact, at the ankle hinge. Not "will it break" but "when will it break". This sucks.

As a fan of City Commander, it has nothing on this figure. Ultra Magnus is the best representation of the duly appointed enforced of the Tyrest Accord we have ever gotten through the years.

Have you shaved down the two little pieces?

If so, you will most definitely NOT break it, since all the stress causing sections will be no more.

Sorry if I've missed it: Is there a picture of what parts you're talking about shaving off here? (I shaved off something, but I want to know if it's the right part.)

I put this as one of my top toys of the year! Just want to make sure it doesn't break. :)

Maybe we can post more pics but I'm pretty sure that what TFX was talking about and what I'm talking about are different. That said I still trimmed the piece that TFX said to.

Sure, mine aren't much different than the ones posted originally, but have a look:

Take your Exacto knife and just hold it against this piece and slide it across a few times until you shave off a teeeeeeeny bit of blue:

Then do the same on this piece:

After both sides have been shaved down by a mere millimeter, it'll provide more than enough clearance for "this" part (seen in photo) so absolutely no stressing will occur when transforming:

Ok, I did shave that piece though I'm not sure if that helps the ankle issue.

    Anyway, an update on that.

Took a hairdryer to the ankles and good news is that I pretty much cleared up the stress marks. Bad news is the heat completely warped one of the leg panels. Argh!!!!

Off to Home Depot to charge the mini torch so I can try to fix this new issue.

Found one at retail today, pretty pleased with it! Feels better in hand than expected. It has some hollowness, but the girder-like construction kinda works with that type of truck.
