This figure is DEFINITELY worth getting. The posability is off the charts. The mold is just gorgeous and is very G1-esque.

I was originally on the fence about this guy. I ordered all of the wave 1 Aerialbots w/Alpha Bravo. Then I ordered Quickslinger.

My Aerialbots w/Alpha Bravo arrived before Quickslinger did. I assembled Superion w/Alpha Bravo as the left arm in place of Quickslinger. I was kinda "meh" about Superion. Something was off and I couldn't figure out what. I didn't like him as much as I thought I would.

Then, Quickslinger arrived yesterday. I made him Superion's left arm and trust me when I say this, he made a HUGE difference. Not sure how something so small could matter so much but, Superion went from "meh" to fantastic w/only one small addition.

DEFINITELY get Quickslinger if you have the chance. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing figure, swapped out his gun for AB's. Cool blue shades dude. G1 colors rock, hell yeah. Joints are solid, no floppiness,

I was impressed with the Fireflight version of this mold, now Slingshot holds that praise.

This guy came in with wild rider and I really like this guy. My only gripe is the fact that his elbow ratchets already have wear on them. This was the same case with firefly. The joints are still nice and tight now, but how will they hold up over time.

I should be getting my Slingshot tomorrow. Never liked the idea of having a helicopter as one of the Aerialbots. Once I found out about Slingshot I decided not to form Superion until I had him. Not to say AB isn't a good figure. I look forward to seeing him as Blades. Just irks me that Hasbro keeps changing one of the limbs for their Combiners. I get the trademark thing but why not have these limbs for the Optimus or Galvatronus combiner if you really wanted to have he trademarks and reuse this molds?

All in all I can't complain too much. Tomorrow my Superion will be complete.

Why? I like him better than yet another jet. He's like their support guy, built for more nimble combat moves.

I don't get it. It's not like Alpha Bravo is part of a giftset or has a special peg that only works for Silverbolt. This is the entire point. The mix-and-match limbs. Those are exactly where the "extra" limbs are supposed to go. Especially since Slingshot's official place is still with Superion.

I don't understand where the confusion comes from. It's like every suggestion needs to be taken as Hasbro demanding the fans play with their toys a certain way. :lol

Some people just aren't going to like the idea of a helicopter on a team of jets. I'm one of them. I absolutely prefer the synergy and the symmetry that a team of ALL jets provide rather than the clear odd man with a helicopter.

You could argue about diversity but that's something I don't give a damn about. For me it's either 5 jets or it's nothing at all. If you want a helicopter on YOUR Superion, be my guest. I don't like it but I'm not going to try to dictate how you collect your toys. On the other hand, why question why people would want a 5 jet Superion? It's what some people want. Some people want to have that nostalgic team rather than a new team with a bastard member.

But anyways...I got this guy at the start of the month and I goddamn love him. I'm just SUPER GODDAMN HAPPY to have the Aerialbots as they were when I was a kid. The alt mode is beautiful. I'm a fan of stark white vehicles and Slingshot really fits that bill. The headsculpt is a fantastic modernization of the G1 and it looks GREAT.

I just hope Hasbro keeps releasing the G1 guys. I want to exercise my options by NOT buying any of the new members. Please, Hasbro~?

Aw man... the things you don't notice right away...

How did I not see this on my Quickslinger from BBTS? (The missing black paint on the intake next to his cockpit.)

I hope Captured Prey gets theirs soon...

I agree and disagree with both of you. I also prefer a 5-jet Superion. I feel like the lone helicopter feels out of place. I see Split Lip's point, because sure! Diversity! ...I prefer the symmetry of the 5-jet model, personally.

If it were 5 different types of aircraft (do five different types of aircraft even exist? ie, plane, helicopter, er...), I might have a different opinion.

One the other hand, I'm a fan of new characters. I LOVE these extra guys! We're getting options, and how can there be anything wrong with that? So on that note... hey Hasbro, can we get that Groove that Takara is doing, please? :)

That sucks. It's better than the QC problems that mine had. The tip of the tailfin was bent at a 90 degree angle and there was a giant dollop of black on the cockpit that covered about 1/4 of it. Luckily I was able to get an exchange from Amazon before they ran out. My second one from them has a couple paint chips and incredibly loose hip joints, but those I can deal with. Just happy that my Aerialbots are finally complete as a proper team instead of 4 aerialbots and one random chopper with a terrible name.

Anyway, I hope BBTS can exchange for you.

Well, I figured if they didn't have any in stock to sell, they didn't have any to exchange, so I went on Toysrus.com last night and bought a new one, plus a new Skydive to replace my original- I noticed his nose cone is only held together by the rubber cone; the screw that's there doesn't actually connect it. I was transforming him the other day and the two halves of it were separating like the screw wasn't there.

This guy was so loose in the waist and legs that I could grab him by the upper half and spin the legs around like a helicopter...

    Thankfully future fixed it perfectly

Just got mine. I wish they would of remolded him just a bit more, all I see is a Fireflight repaint,or Slingshot, who came first again?LOL Heck they could of given him a different gun and combiner piece too. Have to put some polish on his joints since theyre loose but so far hes pretty solid.

Im wondering if hell be included in the G2 set or if AB will be there instead?

Well, I got my new Slingshot and Skydive from TRU.com yesterday - I think it fell into a wormhole... FedEx said it wasn't going to be here until Tuesday, but it was here Saturday.

The new one has no missing paint apps or QC issues - the "old" one is currently a leg for Galvatronus; along with AB, my first Skydive, and Offroad. Well, Skydive and Offroad are arms, but you knew what I meant. :D

The jet-beak/cock-pit won't folder flush when transforming into jet mode.

Anyone got a fix? or know why?

Mine usually needs to be pushed flush, same with Firefly(ight).

    So just push harder? :S

I'm not really a fan of that answer. Makes me worry about stressing you can't see.

You shouldn't have to worry about stressing here. You're pushing a chunk of plastic into an even bigger chunk of plastic. It's designed to be a tight fit as it's only friction keeping the cockpit part onto the fuselage.

The two joints are so stressed that when set flush, if I flick the nose-cone it pops open with such force that I was able to successfully catapult a penny to the other side of my desk.
I should make a youtube video.

Ok, unless someone thinks that still sounds ok, I think i'm going to have to shave some plastic. :O
