My Streetwise likes to split apart as an arm and doesn't receive the Combiner foot well, so it causes Defensor to slip, slide and do the splits (depending on whether or not it will do the same that it did to Optimus Maximus and Superion). My configuration ended up being First Aid and Streetwise as arms, with Blades and Rook as legs by necessity. Defensor is cool, though. I like all of the molded detail and the beef of the torso, it looks strong and stocky. It looks like it has cop glasses, which is kind of amusing. It actually feels a lot more stable than my copy of Silverbolt and looks great. I haven't tested how well Defensor can be posed, but the arms have a good amount of movement and there is the pseudo-wrist swivels, which are all good but technically come with every Combiner in the line.

I didn't get Groove and am not sure if I want it because Defensor looks good on its own. Also, CW Defensor is my first completed Combiner ever when it comes to collecting, so it gets a bit of bias. :lol

I have a completed CW Defensor, 6 members strong! Man, he's stocky, but in the best possible way. The only slight weak point is First Aid, his legs have trouble staying together as an arm, but as long as I don't move or touch him, he's stable for now. I might change the configuration from arm to leg for FA, and make Rook as an arm instead.

Now stands just as tall as TFC's Uranos, and towers over PE Menasor.

FYI for those interested, you can transform hot spots torso like onsloughts and It still work for combined mode. Dare I say it make him look a tad more bulkier, more like his g1 brick counterpart.

Ill get some pictures up later.

My Defensor is having the "lean forward" and now I'm not sure what is happening, but either the combiner ports on the limbs are too tight or HS shoulders are too loose? Each time that I rotate the limbs on Defensor, HS shoulders come undone or untabbed from the chest piece? Any fixes for that? I have tighten up all screws on HS and so far, no difference! Unless I take the arms apart.

Defensor has always been like that. The chest plate doesn't peg in securely to the shoulders, and I usually hold the shoulder joints in place, while moving Defensor's arms. Not a big deal, although it would've been nice for those QC people to catch all the issues on these figures.

My Unite Defensor (Have we a review thread?) has the chest plate hold in place far more securely that the CW version I got in May.

My Bruticus has the same problem with leaning forward: I've helped it there by turning each leg a few degrees out to the sides and back a few degrees.

I usually click Defensor's arms back, one click, and that stops my Defensor from leaning forward, if I don't have him posed.

To fix the leaning issue, you need to dismantle Hotspot, take the screws behind the shoulders and remove that plate, then the screws down the side. Take out the little plastic bits with the nubs and the springs for the hip's forward/backward motion. Insure the pins are in as tightly as the can go and apply future polish to the hip ratchets. Work it a bit, let it dry, reassemble Hotspot and now you have a nice tight friction joint for the hips that will hold up the weight of the combined mode. This also applies to Onslaught.

I too was wondering this. I just want good looking hands and feet and dont need them to transform into guns or anything. I know there is Nonnef Production but he always seems to be sold of the hands and feet. Does any one else have any suggestions.

I saw a photo of Bruticus with his upper legs in a different, thinner configuration. Is there a way to do that with Defensor? Anybody got photos?

I'm still seriously considering buying a Unite Warriors Defensor box set, keeping Groove for myself, and then selling off Hot Spot, Blades, First Aid, and Streetwise but, it depends on if there is any serious interest here on the boards from my fellow members.

I WOULD NOT be looking to make a profit on the rest of the Protectobots. I would sell them at a reasonable price so that I could pay my credit card back.

I'd offer them for the following prices SHIPPED to the continental United States:

    Hot Spot $40
    Blades $30
    First Aid $30
    Streetwise $30

PM me if interested. If I get enough interest, I'll pull the trigger and get the set.

It's not possible. Hot Spot's ladder crotch gets in the way.

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pic but here's Combiner Wars Defensor with Unite Warriors Groove as his right leg.

Hopefully Hasbro is paying attention and taking notes and will eventually have a North American release of the UW Groove mold (and UW Blastoff too) :
