    Adventure Roadblock

A quick review of the one Generations-esque figure in the Transformers Adventure line, a "Classics" version of G2 Roadblock!

Roadblock is a redeco of Generations Scoop from last year, a figure that was never actually released by Takara. Coloured after his G2 toy, he's a light green with purple and black details, making him look very much like Scrapper! Roadblock comes with a single Targetmaster, a redeco of Scoop's Caliburst (Tracer), although he lacks any redeco of Scoop's Holepunch.

Roadblock's Targetmaster goes nameless in his bio, instead detailing his relationship with Rollbar/Grejeeber in the Adventure microverse. However, his black and purple deco with a red face seems to possibly be designed in order to match Groundbreaker, the Targetmaster that came with the Dozer Master, who was supposed to represent Scoop in a new body in the United EX line. I think this is a really cool nod to an incredibly obsolete toy. Its kind of sad that he only has one Targetmaster instead of two, but it makes sense for him to only have Groundbreaker to me.

As I'm sure many of you know, the Scoop mold has a really straightforward but effective transformation into a front loader. There's not a huge lot to say about it, there's no differences outside of deco to the Scoop mold.

The Adventure App sticker is safely hidden away on the top of the bucket. I'm glad its not visible in any mode unless you're looking for it, because its pretty tacky. Mine's not even put on straight!

So that's that. Not a huge amount to say about this guy because he's just a straight redeco of another toy that I'm sure most people already own. He's a cool homage to a G2 character, which I love about him and why I picked him up. He's technically an RID/Adventure figure but I think the fact he's a Generations mold that's in the deco of a G2 toy with an United EX homage Targetmaster makes him far more fitting for Classics collections.

Love the review setup. Keep it up!

Man, this guy looks pretty awesome. All he needs is a new head (Renderform?) to differentiate himself from Scoop and he'll be perfect. Let's hope my dad's able to get him while in Japan.

These guys both happened to show up at work today. I think Roadblock actually wears the look better. I bought him intending to repurpose him as titan Devastator's mini-robot helper in the vein of Powerglide, Blackjack and Groove. Fiddling with him a bit I realized that the bucket could be transformed like Scrapper which really completes the Constructicon look. Especially as a IDW Scoop -> Scrapper homage. The colors look great in person, bright and vibrant. Great purchase. Just need Devastator now...

Didn't Scoop himself replace the dead Scrapper in the comics at some point? He changed his colours to green and purple too if i'm not mistaken.

Yep. I think this toy is supposed to double homage as him.

Does this toy have the same issues with the shoulder joints moving around with the arms and chest flap dislodging that Scoop did?

A 3rd party adaptor for getting this figure to merge with CW/UW Devastator would be pretty sweet.
