Continuing my two-part Transformers Adventures minireviews is Junkion!

I've only had one Power Battler before this. The Strafe I mistaken bought thinking it was the Deluxe when I first started seriously collecting last year. It was very disappointing. Junkion doesn't really change my feelings on these things. He has very limited articulation (Which mostly exists solely for transforming) and his robot mode is not pretty. The latter is sort of to be expected from a simplified version of a movie design, at least in my experience.

Being a Takara version, he does have some clear detail that likely isn't on the green Hasbro toy (Having seen minimal pictures of it, I'm unaware what detail is and isn't on that figure). Paint on his chest, face, shoulders, and knees looks like it was added by Takara. The knee paint looks a bit sloppy though. His feet feel like they could fold out more, but they do not. He seems to have a magnet in his foot similar to the One-Steps. I assume Power Battlers support the "Works with Stomp 'n Chomp Grimlock!" feature.

As a garbage truck, he's pretty good looking. He could use to be a bit larger, but I'm not sure how large Power Battlers get. The claw gimmick still works in his alt mode which is pretty neat. And the white and blue deco makes him GARBAGE MAGNUS! Something that was noted in some official pictures posted on Twitter the other day. I saw these pictures after I wrote this minireview and now wonder if that's the reason for the deco.

I'm still not sure what else this deco is supposed to be. Junkions are rust colored and movie Junkheap's figure is green. I couldn't tell you what the character's color is in the movie as I've never noticed him amongst the chaos in China (Which is when, I believe, he shows up). Not a great figure, but if I see a green one in discount stores later this year, I won't regret picking it up. I think he looks nice as a truck and he helps fill out the laughably small AoE Decepticon/Vehicon army.

Sorry about the mess in the pictures, but at least it's kind of appropriate considering the figure. Thanks for reading!
