This is my favorite Aerialbot looks-wise. The F-14 Tomcat and F-15 Eagle (what he was in G1) are my favorite jets so this guy is a must-have. Might even get two when Chosen Prime gets them in. As others have said, can't wait to complete Superion!

So after comparing my Skydive and Air Raid figures, it looks like Air Raid uses Skydive's biceps and forearms, thighs, hips, nosecone and vertical stabilizers in addition to the front of the legs, gun and combiner part.

Can anyone post superion with the g1 configuration and with the robots facing forward on the legs like the g1 toy/cartoon?

EDIT: just ordered AIR RAID + BREAKDOWN & now I've got all the ones that I wanted from these waves on pre-order or in my hands from earlier! HTS is awesome!  

 

Anyone know of anywhere (Besides HTS, unless they've started delivering internationally) that still has single preorders of Air Raid available? I'd rather not have to buy the entire wave of deluxes when I only want one of the four

 

So are the elbows on Air Raid better than Sky Dive's?

 

The bicep/elbow and foream are the exact same on Air Raid and Skydive. I posted a list on the last page of the reused parts.

 

Traditional way doesn't look as good to me either, reminds me of the Gobots combiners

 

The legs of the G1 limb bots were simple fused leg shapes, so when compressed in combined Superion mode, Superion's lower legs they didn't resemble fused robot legs much.

With the more well defined and scaled up sculpt of CW limb bot, the traditional G1 Superion set up doesn't succeed in hiding that.

So, the jet side of the figures works better as a single solid shape for combined leg.

 

Has anyone figured out—or heard of—a way to tighten Menasor's/Superion's "knee" joints (the ratchet joints in the chest of the limb-bots)?

In a lot of poses, the knees end up bending when I don't want them to. I'm hungry for a solution!

 

Finally opened mine, I love that F-14 mode. White gun looks great when put on the port on the upper surface. My favorite Aerialbot, makes me want to grab a 2nd so I can display the jet.

Finally got 'em.

Air Raid is the best looking Aerialbot, IMHO. The F-15 Eagle and F-14 Tomcat always were my favorite fighter planes.

He has mostly the same overall basic transformation as the other Aerialbots. I don't care for the ways the legs separate to compact or extend. It looks like something that might break with a lot of frequent use.
