I finally saw some 3 inch Tits in the store today. I must say, they look better in person. The small size helps alot. But nothing can really help the sculpting and proportions of most of them.

Sideswipe however... He didn't look that bad, so I snagged him to get a Tit fix.

Despite the Titanium name, he's goy a fair amount of PVC. Arms, upper legs, head, and crotchial region are PVC. Chest, windshield, lower legs, and hood are diecast.

Articulation is limited. Legs and waist don't move at all. Arms move up and down at the shoulders, but there's no outward shoulder movement. Elbows don't bend. Hands rotate and head swivels.

As far as the sculpt goes, it's an interesting take on Alt Sideswipe. Legs are cleaned up for the better. Doors are gone. The hood is shrunk to a managable size, and in a bit of a headscratcher the trunk on the back now looks much more like the front of a car. Nothing about the sculpt is even remotely identifiable as a Dodge Viper, but it's still most definatly Alt Sideswipe. The head looks much more "Sideswipeish" than the real Alt as well. The gun is no longer anything like an engine. The feet are way too big.

Sideswipe has to be the only 3 inch Tit I've seen so far that doesn't suffer from "legs too short arms too long". The legs could be a little longer, but it's not nearly the problem that his monkey pooper brothers share. On that note, Sideswipe looks like he has finished his poop and is halfway through the process of standing up again.

Paint apps are very nice. Shiny too.

The Autobot stand is totally worthless and serves no other purpose than to take up more shelf space than is needed. Throw it in your drawer with the Cyber Keys and Energon Sparks.

Sideswipe has trouble standing up on anything but a perfectly flat surface.

So there you have it. I think he's the best 3 inch Tit so far, not being a monkey pooper and all, but he's still a little "off". For $4 to $5 bucks why not? It's actually an interesting take on the Alt Sideswipe design, stupid pose not widthstanding.

Haven't worked up enough excitement to buy the Sideswipe figurine, but the Jazz one is pretty sweet IMO.

    Hmmm... Titanium...

Tits sounds, well, strange. I suggest using the periodic table of elements sign, Ti for them. Makes sense and doesn't sound bad.

I agree with Cheebs' assesment of Ti Sideswipe. He looks good but I have my own gripes. He lacks any sort of "peg" mechanism to attach to his base and is easily slapped around. My cat loves Sideswipe, and most of his PVC. It makes a great "chew" toy for her. I do try to keep that beast out of my room, though. Too many places for her to hide, and too many things to chew on and ruin.

My favorite part of the Titanium line are the bios on the back of the packaging. It would be sweet if that same bio was printed on the Alt "bubble-boy" boxes, or included with some tech spec type card inside with the instructions.

The alternators titaniums are interesting, they idealize the actual transforming toy the way the G1 cartoon would in order to get legs in better proportion and reduce unwieldy kibble. They're nifty enough.

It is odd that they have peg holes in the feet but no pegs on the bases. I don't mind so much except for with the Ark.

The crazy things ( And I just saw these Ti at Walmart tonight) Is that the Prime does have a peg in his base. So as far as I can tell Jazz and SS don't. Wonder if it was a running change? Im using the peg base for SS because he doesn't stand at a point I would trust him. Over all they are cool.

Starscream? With that jet exhaust plume they gave him he's one of the most stable. But the Ark, if you put it on the stand they give you it's very delicately balanced without something to plug the bottom of the stand onto.

I may stash all the bases away someplace and just display the little guys on their own to save shelf area anyway.
