Breakdown's combined mode hand has a rectangular tab on the underside of the thumb. This fits into the back of the spoiler and allows the hand to be mounted much further back on Breakdown's roof as a closer approximation of Sunstreaker's supercharger than the weapon's peg will allow.

Looks like how it was meant to be. Perfect! Makes a great alt mode even better.

thats unexpected...I wonder if these hand/foot guns were designed with more mold specific options than we are finding..

I wouldn't be surprised. There are weird choices here and there that leave me confused. Like Dragstrip's hand/foot has a 5mm peg-hole in the underside of the toes. No idea what that's for. And there's the ever-mysterious angled-peg on Dragstrip's sword.

I'd like to know about that as well. I'm completely baffled. That is such a weird design choice.

I think the peg hole on Dragstrip's hand/foot/gun is so you can connect it to the post on top of his vehicle mode and evoke the original toy's mounted cannons.

Take a look at the pictures I took of Offroad and see if you can figure what's going on there!

In option #2, is the weapon merely resting upon the roof? I can't seem to find any place to slot or tab anything in to secure it.

These CW figures continue to surprise with hidden details. The handfoot absolutely tabs in very well into the top of the car mode! There are two small slots on the top and a small tab on the underside of the thumb/heel that secure it in tightly. Dead End is the only one that doesn't seem to have a good hidden place to secure his handfoot that I've found.

It's because Hasbro are going to be using him as Sunstreaker. In robot mode, if you transform the hand piece half way to hand mode, there are two slots on the side that slide flush against the back evoking his intakes.

Breakdown is only ok for me, my least favourite stunticon, really like the weapons though a place to store his sword gun in vehicle mode would be nice.

I really dislike his legs, it's all to do with the hips and the sliding mechanism they seem to have, works really well for his arm mode, but as a robot it makes it difficult to have his legs closer to the torso or at the same level as each other. Not a bad toy as he does have a few redeeming qualities but Dead End is a much nicer figure overall.

Try plugging in the thumb to the rear of the car first then it should line up the slots on the roof.

He's great but the tolerances on mine are so tight the hinge in the leg wasn't folding I knew it had to but the thing was super tight.

Weird. Mine's "15Racing" paint app is crooked... I may just get a second one if I ever see one n sale. Otherwise the toy is awesome.
