    Hello All,

So I recently picked up deluxe wave 2 of Combiner Wars which consists of 3 Stunticons and 1 Aerialbot.

As a wave they feel superior to wave 1. The 1 Aerialbot seems like a better figure (character interests aside) than the 3 the came before. In the same way DragStrip (as good a figure as he is) seems like step 1 in the process of learning what work whereas the 3 team mates all feel superior across the board.

    That's enough on that topic.

First up here is Dead End who is an exceptional deluxe figure. His vehicle mode is sleek, sporty with a deep red paint job, that along with the black windows, make him look like a fast and furious vehicle.

Even the underneath of the vehicle looks good, looking like a robot hiding underneath a vehicle as the Aerialbots do.

Transforming these new Stunticons is a little more involved and creative than Drag Strip. It isn't complex, think of it as a higher level of satisfaction without frustrating you.

Start by opening the underneath of the vehicle and pulling the front windscreen up.

Then you can have access to the car doors which are the arms.

From it's a case of folding the bonnet onto the back, unfolding the legs before closing the panels back up. The cool touch is a long panel that has the head and chest plate which covers the combination joint. When all is done you get a wonderful looking robot mode. His weapon is like a thugs pipe or steel bar. Not sure how good it is but it'll do.

The joints and posing is pretty good with a nice ball jointed head, shoulder joint plus bicep swivel and hands can fold in and out. There is also a waist swivel, thigh swivel as well as ratchets in the knees. The feet have an angled finish to give an alternative to ankle joints allowing for some wide stances.

Dead End looks great in the now complete Stunticon set-up

And let us not forget his bigger role in Menasor.

As a wrap up Dead End is a superb deluxe in my opinion and is part of the strongest deluxe wave of CW to date.

His lower legs could be a bit longer, they look kind of stumpy, but otherwise GREAT looking figure. Cannot wait to own one.

    Nice.

Menasor is a bit lacking now I see him together. Superion really trumps he all around.

Still real cool.. I'll still get them all..

    Thanks for the write up!

    I think Superion>Menasor

    However as individuals Stunticons>Aerialbots.

I wish the others' weapons fit the "thug"/random car parts theme... though I kinda like how poetic and self-fullfilling it is for a pessimist to tear a chunk out of himself and beat people with it.

Out of the entire wave 2 Deluxes, Dead End is my favorite.

I love this guy and he has a flashy alt mode but...

Does anyone's Dead End have loose hips and extremely loose hand peg holes? The hips might be a factory tolerance issue but the hands are so loose he cannot hold his weapon at all. I suspect it might be a production error or something.

That being said, this is my favorite looking Stunticon next to Motormaster.

Car mode is awesome but not so much for the bot mode.
    Look at those stumpy legs...
but I think my opinion will change after fiddling it a little bit, like Dragstripe.

Dead End's car mode. Doesn't it look like a Ferrari 458?

Can't wait for this guy. I wish he was G1 toy accurate instead of show accurate, though, but it's not a big deal.
