I just picked him up today, and he's totally worth the hassle it took getting the guys at Walmart to put him into the system!

I love his pipe-weapon, it's definitely creative , though, like others have said, I wish the other Stunticons had the same thuggish-weapons.

I feel kind of bad though, I feel like I've gotten the best mold too early, and that the other Stunticons won't be as good :lol

I just can't get over the fact that there is a whole section of him that is unpainted. It just feels like an unfinished prototype.

I will attempt to explain this because Dead End is probably one of the best deluxe carformers of all time.

    Of. All. Time.

His robot mode is wonderfully proportioned, poseable and nicely evocative of his G1 self. Plastic quality is top notch. He keeps up the CW Stunticon tradition of being built like a bank vault.

Transformation is intuitive, with just enough steps to be interesting and a few unique twists for good measure.

The car mode...my God...It's pure sex. Metallic burgundy, gunmetal and flake-gold accents, with satin silver headlights? Yass please! The sculpt is divine. And there's basically no visible robot parts. He has one of the top ten cars of all time.

And he pulls it off while also being a limb of a combiner team.

Most of the CW Deluxes are independently satisfying, but Dead End is probably the one most worthy of a purchase; even if you don't plan on completing the gestalt. I hope folks who aren't waist deep into CW, give this guy a look. He's without a doubt worth it on his own.

Has anybody noticed that if you have Dead End hold his smokestack like a baton,(By the side peg, pointing backwards, wrist two clicks in) the smokestack slots into a tab under his forearm? It's damn cool, and now I have a way to differentiate him from Wildrider. Wish I had a camera so I could share pics.

I might grab a 2nd Dead End, he would be a badass standalone 'con. Has an evil look. He's my Menasor left leg right now.

This. ALL of this. Now if anyone finds a color match for the burgundy let me know, as I may try to paint the door/elbow.

All he needs is a way to store the combiner hand/foot in car mode. I've got a couple ideas for a simple part that will fix it.

I like him, my only complaint and maybe its just my Dead End but his fist hole seems to be either warped or slightly bigger than the 5mm, and thus everything but the blunt instrumental can fit into his hand. I use Breakdown's gun as his gun but since Wildrider has the same mold, I gotta find a gun for him as well.

    Otherwise..... GREAT TOY

So... anyone else have the problem where for seemingly no reason, his combiner peg is stuck in his chest? Like, I transformed it back and forth a billion times yesterday, but now it's like it's glued in there or something. It's driving me mad!

Had that issue with mine out of the blister. Just took some wiggling and prying and eventually it popped forward.

That said, he's an otherwise great toy. Possibly the best of the limb-Stunticons. Love the way his legs transform.

Sorta solved! A folded up business card (the long way) shoved into the roof-hole will push the combiner joint out. In case this happens to anyone else.

Really weird issue that only cropped up after a good day of use with no problems. It gets restuck every time I go into car or bot mode.

Out of all of the combiner wars deluxes he has the best alt to robot transformation. But he lacks on the actual limb modes then again most of the stunticons do.

I had the same problem, right out of the box. It is less tough now, but when I put him back into Menasor mode at the weekend it was still very hard to get it to flip out.

Still a wonderful figure, and easily my favourite of all the Combiner Wars toys so far

This is my first Combiner Wars Deluxe and so far I'm really impressed. Dead End is my favorite Stunticon and this version is a really cool update and the first directly G1-inspired homage. In particular, I like the colors and the head sculpt, and the non-traditional weapon is also a neat touch. I also really like the size; after so many seemingly tiny Deluxes, Dead End seems like a return to earlier Deluxe Transformers. I'm waiting to get the Takara box set to get the rest of the Stunticons but I'm definitely glad I picked Dead End up in advance.

Has anyone had the problem where the pipe folds for his limb piece it pops off easy? It came off easily in mine also I noticed stress marks on it. His limb piece doesn't fit in his hand it easily falls out and The legs on mine don't close fully either. I emailed HTS about it and they are going to replace it but it's on backorder.

The legs are a bit fiddley but they should close. There are "spikes" that need to line up with a hole in each knee. Once you line them up mine tabs together pretty securely. Hope this helps.

Hmm let me look at it again later tonight about those "spikes" see if maybe that's why.
