So I got mine yesterday and I haven't been this impressed by a figure since AOE Voyager Optimus Prime.

Amazing articulation, able to pose him just about anyway you'd like, including lots of menacing, dramatic Megatron poses. His shoulder assembly is very unique and I do not recall another figure using it. It allows for a crazy amount of movement, but just looks odd to me. I think if they had made the colors gray or black it wouldn't look so odd, but in the end it is a minor gripe and more than worth the trade off for the posability you get.

Based on earlier pictures I never liked how small his cannon looked. In hand it isn't as bad, but I still wish it was bigger. You can spin it around in the event that you prefer the other end. I haven't made up my mind on which I prefer.

Don't care much for his smaller weapons with the exception of when mounted on him in tank mode. I just leave them separated and mounted on the sides of his boots.

On the topic of his tank mode... wow!! He sets a new bar for tank-bots! He locks in so well, four fully moving treads, rotating turret, just fantastic.

Actual transformation is very simple and I'm so impressed because the end result you would never think it would be. Just a great figure, all around. Like him so much that I'm debating if I need the G2 repaint for SDCC this year. (Update, ok so a lot of people pointed out I confused the rumored Constructicon release at SDCC as G2 with this one, so sorry if I got anyone excited about that, but how awesome would it be to see this in green & purple with "MEGATRON ATTACK!" spray painted on the side!)

I like how he stands next to CW Optimus same in their vehicle modes.

I feel like they can do a Galvatron retool with new head and chest.

 

He looks amazing on both modes.   I like how you have the option to rotate the cannon in whatever position you want.

If you have the Classics Optimus Prime mold could you do a comparison shot with him and Leader Megatron?

 

Lovely photos! I'd just like to ask: is the fusion cannon removable, or is it permanently attached to the little hinged red piece? Thanks!

 

UGHHH NEED. Looks awesome, glad he's really posable. A few questions: Could you take a shot of him with his back tank pieces posed like they are with Armada Megatron? Is the cannon removable by chance? also, comments on the stickers? They looked like they were white-backed...is that the case or are they clear backed like Whirl and Roadbuster?

Is there any mentioned placement for the MTMTE stickers in the instuctions and can the Fusion Cannon be moved?

I'd also like to request a pic with the tank turrets in "Armada" position and the gun fully extended, ala "Infiltration" Megatron.

 

Those shoulders look awful when posed outward. I'm not liking this much. I'm satisfied enough with my Henkei version. Maybe if this were voyager size to match Optimus Prime better and to pay less for the flaws I would buy it.

All around kick ass...

Could it be better? Yea... Is it perfect? No.. For me it's not a gun, so it's not perfect, but for a retail Megatron release. I love it

Question, how does it roll? Can it turn while it rolls? If the treads stay on during play, my son will want it.. But it'll they just pop off all the time, that will frustrate him.

 

It's kind of funny he has more articulation moving the hips backwards rather than forwards. They should have made those hip plates with a ball joint or hinge. Otherwise, I love the paintjob and the toy looks like a ton of fun. Good megatron toys don't come by too often. This figure is bought on sight.

 

Love the colour scheme and tank mode (hurrah, proper treads!) but the robot mode is garbage, awful legs and offensively bad shoulder joints though I'll defer to the OP's comments about how they allow for excellent posability at least.

tank mode is awful. all those random greeblies and the stupid h-tank treads...

 

The shoulder joint (red piece) looks fragile. Is it safe for numerous posing? Is it stronger than how it looks?
