I'm all in on this. Looks to possibly be the best G1 Megatron we've gotten, at least until Appolyon hits.

 

Can you take a picture of the threads on his back folded out like idw megatron or like how armada megatrons is?

 

Tank mode is where it's at, paint apps are spot on too, just the robot mode looks a little wonky to me, although I do love how they captured the G1ness in his arms (red inner arms). I had him pre-ordered from bbts but cancelled it yesterday. Lol someone snatched him up in less than five minutes. If I see him at the store and I have the cash, I'll buy him, but he's not at the top of my list now.

So I initially didn't think I'd like the treads up, but I think it actually draws attention away from the shoulders, so now I think I'm going to leave him this way.

 

This could either work as a poor mans MP Megatron or a Temp Power Up form for Megatron (if anyone else read Toys @ War during it's run, Megatron had a few Temp Power Up Modes to use)

 

Bad ass looks exactly like idw megatron. Delighted with how this has turned out.

 

Can you completely remove the cannon from the arm?

Just preordered him at HLJ. He's looking not too bad and in a year where it's good to be conservative, I think this is welcome.

Hmmmm, I'm starting to warm up to him.

 

I'm hoping CW Devastator turns out as well as this guy. I think he's proof enough that bad initial photos don't indicate the final quality of the toy.

 

I can't believe they actually designed him with a leg articulation-restricting skirt. What the hell, guys?

That aside, he looks awesome and I really dig him.

Gyaaahh...Im not even going to attempt. This is NOT a "bad" tank. This is GOOD. It looks fun. Although Megatron is and will always be a Pistol for me, This is cool and welcome. As long as the Masterpiece line stays faithful to him being a pistol. I will be buying both version of this guy..and the eventual non megatron repaint if they do have one.

This sounds like a winner. Hands down. Hasbro has come into 2015 with both barrels glowing red.
Think of where we have been in the last few years...Fall of Cybertron garbage...Beast hunter garbage...AOE seen an increase in quality, and it exploded with Combiner Wars.

To me..Megatron will always be a pistol..but I dont mind different forms of him. I liked the stealthbomber..I like Armada Megatron (Actual)...I liked TFP megatron..

But outside of him being a pistol..This right here is the best Megatron I can think of. I dont even have it in hand...Its the best without being a pistol. Im still in love with my MP05..and it will take a new MP pistol Megs to change my mind about that.

Now if the MP line can make a new Pistol Megatron, Then everybody can be very happy. I can actually see buying this mold 3 times right away..Both version for my shelf, and my son will want one..I can see him rolling it over his army guys and autobots now...

Just saw the video review, and I am most impressed, this looks humongously better made and engineered than Jetfire, which was a major disappointment for me. I might just have to pick this up and see how I feel about him in hands, but was most impressed by it.
