Eh, I just crack it like... a cracker, comes open easy, the tabs are kinda cool like that.

As for my 2c, it's a wonderful set of toys. Durable and fun.

    LET THE WOOKIEE WIN!

you guys are on point with the gun being too big. it looks goofy in pictures which is why i took my pics without. but hand needs it in bot mode which make him look kickass. also, for him TO SHOOT FIRST!

also, i think the guns at the bottom becoming chewies bowcaster is ingenious. RARGH!

I just thought of what needs to be the next 2 pack of SWTF... A two pack Stormtrooper that turn into a Imperial star destroyer.

Got myself a set of these yesterday. They're far and away some of the best Star Wars TFs. The Falcon is accurate and has a minimum of robot parts visible, while the robots are poseable, though some parts get in the way of each other sometimes.
I like the way Chewie's head is handled. Very cool.

I've passed on most of the figs so far. I don't mind the Grevious, but it took a lot of work to get him to hold together, and Darth Sidious is decent, but not worth $15.

I had absolutely no interest in Han and Chewie until I saw them in the store today. They looked much better in person, and so I grabbed them. I still think the set is $5 overpriced (due to the SW license), but all in all it is a big improvement over the Deluxe figures.

    Here's my full review:

Let's get this out of the way first so it's not hanging over our heads the whole time: Han's 'bot head sucks. It's horrible. Atrocious.

Han and Chewie are the first SWTFs that feel like TFs. For starters the plastic is identical to main line TFs (finally). Second, everything is solid, tight, and thought-out.

Let's start with the Falcon: It looks fantastic. The Falcon lends itself brilliantly to being a Transformer since the ship is litterally covered with pannel lines. The pannel lines that are "supposed" to be there really camoflauge the transformation seams. There is a good deal of sculpted structures and crevices all over the Falcon, albeit simplistic/simplified. Sculpting gets the job done.

In a nice surprise there are generous amounts of spray apps covering the ship. We all know the Falcon has seen its share of wear n' tear, so a clean ship just wouldn't do. Dirt, grime, rust, and scorch marks are applied with air brushes all over the surface. The fact that the paint apps are not symetrical is a HUGE plus. Granted, the air brushing is extreemly basic, but there is a lot of it. It pushes the deco way past other SWTFs.

The final thing I have to say about the Falcon is how well hidden the 'bots are. Aside from the tops of Chewie's fists (and they're stuffed down in a hole), you see nothing. Even the under-side of the ship is pure Falcon.

So, alt-mode is fantastic. But then, alt-mode was never the problem with this line.

How's the 'bot modes? FANTASTIC! They'd fit right in with Cybertron Voyagers. Speaking of Voyagers, Han and Chewie both sport the same articulation problem that all Voyagers have: Ratchet joints. Yup, you gott'a take the positions it gives you when the joints click into place, and that's quite limiting. But if it didn't bother you on Vector Prime, Evac, Demolisher, etc, it won't bother you here. However, due to the sculpts of the 'bots neither Han nor Chewie can move their thighs straight forward (blocked by crotch bits). Both can move thier thighs forwars after spreading the legs out. Han cannot raise either arm to point straight forward due to a similar blockage.

As far as kibble, Chewie has none... unless you count the blue flaming sombrero, and that's only if you choose to have it up. And really, who doesn't love a blue flaming sombrero?

Han has his back kibble. It really evens out if you take the Falcon cockpit off his right kibble wing and mount it on Chewie's shoulder (looks like Soundwave's cannon then). Han's back kibble actually look like cool Sweep-type wings if you leave them perpendicular to the ground/parallel to his back.

Anyway, this set is so good that it does a 180 from the old SWTF toys, and then just to show off it does another 180 back to where it started and one more 180 to return to totall awesomness. You need this set.

I just got this set yesterday, and am truly impressed. I'm surprised no one's mentioned the weight of the thing. There's some heft to this ship. At a price point between an ultra and a leader, some may find it a bit expensive, but I think it's worth it. The voice clips are fun, the ship is the best looking alt mode for ANY Transformer in quite a while, and it has a great transformation sequence. Even the little tiny pilot figures are well sculpted, with way more deatil than they have a right to. Here's hoping the SWTF creators have more quality product like this up their sleeves. Oh, and I'd love to see a cartoon miniseries featuring the line, but that's probably out of the question.

its too bad the weight get in the way of the playabilty - balancing the toy in bot modes is hella annoying.

Just picked them up, I agree on the best SWTF sentiments. This set rocks! Even if you hated all the others, you owe it to yourself to pick these up.

Quality is top-notch, transformations are involved and solid, lights and sounds on both figures work wonderfully.

The only drawback I see is the needed removal of the cockpit and radar dish. Technically, you could leave them where they are, but the radar ends up on Han's arm and would get in the way, while the cockpit would be on Han's shoulder, leaving Chewie without a place for his pilot. Han's gun is a bit too big. Other than that, I give this set a solid A.

The size of the gun doesn't bother me that much. It's big, but it's in proportion for robot mode. Any smaller and it'd catch on his wrist and not sit in there properly.

Got him a about a week ago. Very nice!

Still can't get over the funny heads , but chewie's wires aren't too bad. Han likes to drop his gun alot.
So yeah, the figs are pretty plain, but I can dig it in a cloneformer way.
The Falcon mode, thick and heavy , is just too beautiful from every angle and those those lights are sweet. Even Hans voice clips sound pretty clear. It fun to treat the transforming parts as panels.
This toy feels like a message from Hasbro apologizing for the past SWTFs! Fucking justice man!
