Wow, I put up a side by side of this and the DOTM version and this one looks 100x better. I saw the DOTM one in person once and have regretted not picking it up since then.. now that this one is out, i'm glad I passed on the other one. Can't wait to pick it up.

 

I've run into the same problem. I may try picking up another one once they hit retail in my area.

 

I got Powerglide today, I wish the legs pegged together in plane mode a little better and mine had semi loose tail fins. They stand okay but, the looseness is a turn off along with the price.

 

Does anyone have any comparison pictures to the DOtM Commander class figure, for fun?

 

I had trouble too, and then I realized, I was missing a huge step of the transformation. The whole head assembly has to move up first, and this takes the targeting panel with it. Everything pegs in nicely once this is done.

 

with the targeting sight pegged in I don't have much trouble with the legs on mine.

 

The DotM version has a much, much better alt mode...

But this guy is just so G1 in bot mode you have to love him. I just wish his alt mode was more sturdy. Mine feels 10 years old right out of the box. Still...great figure. I put him behind Bombshell and Thundercracker, but Bombshell is perfect and I love the seeker mold.

 

It is a bit of a beating in robot mode. Of course, one of them is trying to look like a Bayformer and the other is just trying to look like Powerglide.



In alt mode it is also a bit of a beating, but in the other direction. DotM just has a much cleaner surface of unbroken solid red. Not to mention, it holds together like a rock where the new Powerglide splits if you touch him.





I'll be keeping my new guy in bot mode and DotM in alt mode.

 

There's no reason he couldn't have had wrist swivels and ankle tilts and a nice hat and also a free pizza. And cost half the price.

 

Don't have the new Powerglide yet, but the video and picture reviews have given me the same impression.

 

Random thought: is there a decent-looking flight pack mode that could attach to the 5mm port on Silverbolt's cockpit? Gigantor-style thrusters would make Superion look even cooler and he's already got a big-enough gun.

I also don't regret my DotM Powerglide purchase, damn good figure. Interesting that we are getting another at the same price point for a very direct comparison.

I love the styling and the third mode on the new Powerglide, but build quality on my DotM one is MUCH better.

 

Yeh my thoughts exactly. I like the new Legends Powerglide by the DOTM one is nicer.

 

The only thing this figure has going for it is that it's utterly fantastic in robot mode. The other two modes are barely passable. The DOTM version definitely has it's flaws, but as others have written, it's far superior in build and plastic.

 

ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on him.... loving him in each of the 3 modes and can't wait to put him next to my G1 version  

 

Great transformation from plane to robot mode. A minor complaint is that the tailfins on my figure are a tad loose.

 

This little thing is great! It seems to me that Hasbro is putting more development into the Legends than the other classes; not more engineering, but more development. I haven't gotten my hands on a new deluxe yet, but I think this thing is loads more fun than either of the new voyagers.

 

I want to like him, but mine had loose tailfins and the paint on his face is scratching off, now I gotta wait for stores to restock to exchange.

 

I think everyones tailfins are a little loose. I know mine are. just put a little nail polish on them and they tighten right up.
