This makes you seriously regret spending $6 four years ago? Wow.

 

This seriously looks great, but when I first saw pictures of the gun mode I legitimately did not know what I was looking at. Judging by these pictures, it works better when it is plugged into a figure's hand rather than loose.

 

I thought the same thing. I still really dig that powerglide. The green repaint is sweet too.

 

I want this, but is his crotch a sticker or printed on? I noticed the RID2015 toys have stickers for faction symbols instead of printed.

 

Powerglade has so much pizzaz he's now a Targetmaster…………..…Targetmsters are cool (a bit of the 11th Doctor there)

 

Any shots of him next to his Botshot counter part?

 

Ok...so I'm totally stoked for every CW figure we have seen so far, but this one takes the cake. It looks damn near perfect. That red is delicious.

 

Looks like paint. The badges on the RID toys are there because the sticker is also an AR symbol you can use with a mobile app. Makes sense for those to be stickers and all.

 

No reason the elbow couldn't have been a ball joint to allow for some swivel instead of an actual elbow hinge. Looks amazing otherwise.

 

Actually yeah there is a reason. Ball joints can only bend 90 degrees, and the arm needs to bend past that for jet mode.

I love how many people are going "there's no reason" when even a cursory examination of the figure reveals all the reasons in the world for why things are as they are.

 

The reviewer has a very good camera and lighting.  

In hand, the red color is darker and not "shiny" at all. In fact, it looks quite plain/dull.

It is especially obvious when you have Superion holding it. (Superion's red chest is bright and "shiny")

 

The lower legs on mine absoloutely refuse to stay together in plane and gun mode, they keep pushing apart and I can't see why :-(

 

Flip up sight.
Get some paint in the center gun barrel so it stands out better.
Missile arms for what ever you want.
Good color.
Its powerglide, and solid jet mode, even if the wingline does give me a frogfoot feel.

I think this may be one of my most favs when I get it. I dunno about you guys, but that is one KICK ASS Targetmaster for a combiner. Think about how huge the DOTM HA Basics were! They were as big as the deluxes, and only leaders could use them (Besides fireburst/DOTM prime holding whirl like chaingun..), Or Ultimate prime holding 2 whirls, Leader ironhide, looked great with the trike thing, and I had 2 of the black cycle's minicon on his shoulders..Those are recent GOOD ones I can remember. This looks cooler than all of em. and DOTM Whirl is freakin awesome in gun mode.

And for a "larger targetmaster than minicon size" I think this may be the best, True, Weapon mode that looks sweet, and you still know its powerglide and a jet.

I can see getting all repaints of this mold.

BTW..is he strictly weapon mode, or does he go on the chest too? Be neat if poweglides legs/engines/tail could go over each shoulder.

 

Is it me or is the targeting site goofy facing forward?

Mine's legs has problems staying together in plane mode. Anyone else?

 

Also got stress marks where the body connects to the plane...

 

I had problems initially too, but after fiddling with it, found the right way to tranform.

The red panel (that forms the targeting sight) needs to lock on the beige thighs. Press it in, so that the thighs stay together. And the red shins need to be tilted at the correct angle for them to clip together nicely. Hold them together for a while, and they should stay clipped together nice and firm.

 

That seems to work somewhat but his legs still like to split apart a bit too easily.

 

Also, what's this I hear about tolerance on Powerglide's shin pegs?
