Only unfortunate design choice is... what is he holding the bug? Is that his... shlong?

I have the Deluxe versions of the FP moulds and I love them. I'm definitely getting these Generations Insecticons as my original trio (provided they do Kickback as well of course) plus Cyberverse Bombshock from the Prime line and ROTF Insecticon, and in the absence of any update, G1 Venom to complete my swarm.

 

looks cool. bug mode looks like it came from Animated. I like it.

 

this is awesome. I love everything about it except the targetmaster mode which I wont be using on these new figures anyways.

 

Looks great! Though I must admit the card art looks a lot more impressive and well within what the Legends class can do. Still, can't wait to add him to my Cyberverse Bug Squad (Shrapnel, Chop Shop, and Prime Insecticon/Barrage).
Hope we get Kickback soon enough. but I also kinda wish we'd get Venom or someone else that's not black/purple/yellow. It'd be weird for my Bug Squad to be 3/5 uniform and 2/3 not.

Too bad Legends don't still come with little partners, even if they were hit or miss.


Can he stand on his bug legs in that mode, or is he stuck on his belly with the legs flailing out?

Surely there's got to be a gun-mode that looks... well, like an actual weapon, right? Like the arms can flip forward and peg into something...

 

Yeah, the yellow on he and Skrapnel not matching sorta bugs me...the purple not so much...I hope the yellow on Kickback matches one or the other...so I'll only need to alter one...

 

Can you post a picture of gun mode with the arms pointed forward for extra guns? Curious to see how it looks.

 

Here he is with his legends mates and Dirge, his bestest friend in the world.

Yeah, I wished he came with at least a weapon if not a mini targetmaster. I might model a G1-ish blaster for him just to give him something to hold.
He can support himself on those insect legs, but the legs are designed such that only 4 can touch the ground at a time, not all 6.

Pointing his arms forward makes him look gun-ish, but the arms are not pegged or supported by anything so they flop around. Also his rear insect legs get in the way of the gun handles.

He looks pretty good. It's a shame that the purple and yellow don't match those on Skrapnel, but oh well. I might pick him up in the new year if I see him for a decent price

Okie, here's an update.
After fiddling a bit more I think I hit upon a way to have him in targetmaster mode. By orienting his front insect legs (downwards in the case of the photos) and using them to brace against the sides of his torso, you can hold the forearms close enough to peg them together pointing front.

After thinking about it somemore, you don't really need the insect legs in that position but it helps hold the arms more securely.
