Goddamn, this thing looks adorable. It's times like this that I wish I collected MPs, but they are so costly

How does he look next to standard deluxe and voyager figures?

Is it just me or is Spike's transformation more intricate than Bumblebee's? LOL if a human being can be twisted around like that, we'll all be circus performers.

thanks for the review. Lookin forward to this little dude. I always liiked BB as a little kid but hated his stupid little toy. This should full fill that toy void I 've had since a child quite nicely. Not sure if I'm happy with the shade of yellow they used for him, I guess I won't know for sure till I get mine.

For a Masterpiece figure, they could at least paint the spare tire.

Other then that, he looks amazing. Shame about the chest paint.

That's how I felt as a kid! I loved the show but didn't care for the toys initially. My only pre movie Autobots were Grimlock, Sludge, and the Aerialbots (got the giftset unexpectedly). It really bothered me that the toys didn't look much like they did on the show I loved so much! It wasn't till after the early waves were discontinued after the movie that I decided I really wanted a Bumblebee, no matter how terrible I thought he looked, so I was pretty thrilled when I got a Goldbug to fill that void instead! Anyways, now I'm getting the Bumblebee I always wanted and couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the wait!

Hey Bumble, which yellow parts are NOT painted? And how easily is his face removed? Any risk of scratching there?

This was a test shot that Bumble got from a Yahoo auction - no Spike, no smiley face, no rear licence plate.

It's a spare tyre in a cover, so it should be yellow. And if it were painted, it wouldn't match the cartoon, and the whole point of the spare tyre being included is to homage the circle on Bumblebee's back in his G1 cartoon appearance:

Awesome review! G1 Bumblebee is still one of my favorite characters, and one of the few that even my parents would recognize (after Prime of course). I can hardly wait to receive it, but I think I will wait until Magnus is released to ship them together. I don't want it getting lost in the holiday rush.

I'm not great at telling which parts are painted, but from the looks of it the only parts that are unpainted plastic are his head, spare tyre and maybe the sides of his chest (the little bit of black on the sides of his chest is definitely painted on. Pelvis, forearms, feet etc are definitely painted to my eye.

Interestingly there seem to be two different kind of black plastic used, a more matte plastic on his biceps and thighs, then a glossier plastic everywhere else.

The face is fairly easy to take off without damaging it.

Thanks for the Optimus hug shot. Does yours come with the smiley face?

Great to know - thanks, man! I wish his helmet was painted, but then again it'd surely get chipped with his face swap gimmick.

If you could, could you compare the robot and vehicle modes with the deluxe Classics Bumblebee mold?
