    DISCLAIMER
I know these are cruddy phone pics, but if you thought I was going to buy a decent DSLR just to do toy reviews...

    Robot Mode
The thin body and wheels on the back of the legs are reminiscent of Prime Arcee and Animated Prowl with her front wheel, canopy and cowling hanging behind her back. Her articulation is decent with a range of motion in her arms and legs, approximately 90° at her elbows and 120° at her knees. There is no waist movement but the wrists, hips and elbows are on ball joints. Light-piping for her eyes.

The ball joints are a softer plastic and whilst transforming I thought I was going to break/tear them.

    Cybertronian Motorcycle Mode
Reniniscent of the TRON light cycles, her alt mode is an enclosed motorcycle. Her gun can attach to the side of the bike and there is a kick-stand. And no, I couldn't get Arcee to ride on the cycle by raising the canopy, she's too big.

    Transformation
From bot to alt mode it's rather tricky. And there was that point at which I was worried about tearing the elbow ball-joint by rotating it. Otherwise it takes a bit of fiddling about to get everything lined up correctly. Transforming from cycle to robot was much easier with a auto-transform gimmick connecting the chest and hip pivots.

    Overall
I like Femmebots, bikes and TRON, so this is an interesting addition. I haven't read IDW's Dark Cybertron yet, but I think weather or not people will want this figure will come down to their liking of the character.

Need BOTH these figures NOW, and MMC Azalea too!!!

Have a couple of BH / RID Arcees, Windblades, and PE Aranea. Hasbro Arcee and Chromia cant get here fast enough, and the MMC fembots too!!!

Ok, for Chromia, I have to get a few, and one of them has to be reminiscent of Tron, so maybe black with light blue highlights? I actually wish Hasbro made a white chromia, that would be awesome, especially considering I am not good at applying white.... ;)

It's too bad that there's a potential trouble spot in that elbow joint (potentially both?). It does look like a good figure otherwise, though I'm still on the fence as to whether I'll pick her up.

Thanks for the review and pics!

Chromia looks good on the front but her back is pretty kibble ridden. I know that this is a retool of the TFP RID Arcee toy and there's really no way to make it fully flush but still I wish her back was how she looks like in the IDW comics especially in the Windblade miniseries.

All the same I do enjoy the effort into making the mold look different from the RID TFP Arcee mold and I still plan on getting her.

She looks great! I'm more hyped for her than Arcee since I like Arcee's more badass early IDW incarnation best.

Love that you can do the wheel leg thing!

I was hoping the cockpit could come off and be used as a shield like it did in the comics. I wonder how easy it is to mod (or if a third party company will make a replacement or handle...)

And you know at some point in the future that this is getting repainted to Afterburner, either as another deluxe or for Botcon.

I regret ordering one from ebay on a whim. If anyone would like to take her off my hand please let me know.

I think this is an aweosme retool that excellently captures a character I really don't like and will never ever buy.

That Chromia is very nice, indeed!

I like her more than the Arcee toy.

Sometimes it feels great to not give a shit about the fiction. :D

But, yeah, great looking toy. I've been anticipating this one ever since I saw the prototype at BotCon. I've got a loose sample coming from eBay and I can't wait.

Then at the same time, I'd enjoy most of the current Generations 100% less if I didn't care.

I pretend I never saw the end of the Windblade miniseries, and now Chromia and Windblade are awesome pals that travel around solving mysteries in abandoned amusement parks. :)

Yeah, wondering the same thing. Hopefully it can be popped off as is? I thought the whole point of giving her that cockpit window was so it could be used as the riot shield. It would look so awesome that way.

Sometimes it really does! I wouldn't have bought any of the toys from Energon if I had relied on the fiction to sell me on the characters. I'm not gonna let a couple lackluster panels of a comic turn me off of a character I otherwise like (& still have confidence they'll deal with in the future).

It's G1 Chromia. ONE version of her is an awful person.

Sandstorm was also a villain recently, don't see people selling off their Generations versions en masse.
